JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Under general supervision, the individual will prepare multiple-view mechanical detail and assembly drawings from layout drawings, sketches, existing or prototype parts, and/or verbal instructions from senior drafting or engineering personnel.
1.Uses appropriate industry symbology to create printed circuit board detail and assembly drawings, schematic drawings, wiring, logic and block diagrams.
2.Creates drawings by hand or using software programs.
3.Performs other routine drafting activities as directed such as: revising or redrawing existing drawings, making blocks or cells, etc.
4.Ensures all work conforms to DoD MIL-STD-100 and EG&G drafting standards
5.Creates output drawings in various formats from electronic files of various types.
6.Creates/edits charts and images and presentation materials. Maintain files and backup disks.
7.Provides drawings incorporating drafting manual standards and procedures, architectural standards, and other national standards as required.
8.Performs other related and non-related duties as directed.

A graduate of a two to four year technical institute preferred or equivalent training. Should have a minimum of one year experience preferably in the high technology industry with an emphasis on electro-mechanical drawing. Must be competent in the use of at least one CAD software program as appropriate to specific assignments.
