BIM Coordinator / Design Drafter Location: Broomfield, CO
Swisslog's Healthcare Solutions division has an opportunity for a skillful BIM Coordinator / Design Drafter to integrate Swisslog's pneumatic tube transport systems in coordination with other MEP utilities. Throughout the coordination process, the coordinator/design drafter shall be responsible for translating the coordinated model into a detailed installation layout for approval, permitting, and installation by Swisslog installation teams.
When not directly attending on-site and virtual coordination meetings and/or developing installation drawing sets, the coordinator/design drafter shall complete other work such as completion of as-built drawings, assembling and submitting project drawings, creating bid packages for our RFI's, and working closely in conjunction with our Applications Engineering group and Preconstruction Manager.
Attend coordination meetings and negotiate with trade contractors
Employ clash detection software to eliminate conflicts
Ensure Swisslog system receives priority in the MEP coordination process
Coordinate supplementary items such as equipment supports and hangers, floor and wall penetrations, and electrical requirements
Assist Project Manager with material takeoffs
Assist Project Manager with tasks stemming from MEP coordination: RFI (Request for Information) support, review of construction documents, etc.
Participate in jobsite "walk downs" with trade contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and Swisslog installation crews
Develop installation drawings from coordinated layouts

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Design Drafter Intern is responsible for the design of the product line documentation, that includes motors, generators and magnetic drives, according internal and international standards, applicable specifications, in order to achieve a satisfactory performance of the product. The Drafter will create, revise, and/or maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation required for product lines. Product lines contain both standard and custom designs with high engineering content.

This position is responsible for supporting engineers in various stages of project development. Engineering support duties are to design, drafting and detailing electrical projects.
Maintaining communication with project engineers and efficient organization of project/drafting documents is vital to project success. Throughout the project travel may be required to project sites to document field conditions as prescribed by the project engineer. The Draftsperson is responsible for producing and maintaining accurate drawings adhering to company, OSHA and USDA standards to clearly explain project requirements to departmental drafting standards.
Upon project completion travel to the completed project site to complete as-built drawings may be required. Draftspersons must continue developing ability in and knowledge of but not limited to REVIT through department assigned training as well as independent research and study.
Minimum Associate degree in CADD (AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software preferred) or equivalent experience.
Preferred 2 years work in Revit in food processing or construction industry.

Perform design and drafting services for internal and external customers focused on Engineered Wood Products (EWP) and/or Truss Design used for customer quotes, order material take offs, and manufacturing. In this role, you will work closely with the RFIC design team to layout and verify custom RF and analog IP for complex SoC products, on advanced CMOS processes. Key Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
(1) 5+ years experience in custom RF/analog layout with extensive knowledge on deep sub-micron CMOS (28nm, FINFET’s, etc.)
(2) Knowledgeable on layout techniques for device matching, minimizing parasitics, RF shielding, and high frequency routing
(3) Must recognize failure prone circuit and layout structures, proactively work with circuit designer for best approach to problems
(4) High level proficiency in interpretation of CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS, etc.
(5) Familiarity of CADENCE layout tools and Mentor Graphics verification tools.

What you will do
Provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming full drafting responsibility for assigned projects from concept to customer, subject to supervisory review with latitude for independent action to resolve most problems with marketing, manufacturing and vendors.
