AECOM is seeking a a Civil CADD Drafter to be based in our Chattanooga, TN location.
Works under limited supervision.
Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
Uses applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines.
Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines.
Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.
Bachelor Degree in a related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Previous experience with 3D CADD lift drawings, asbuilts, and/or steel detailing
3D CADD Model development and Editing experience
Draw and Develop sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
Good visualization and analytical skills
Basic level mathematical computations and quantity checks
Experience working in Contract Drawings, Specifications, and RFI's
Identify, report, and resolve interferences
Assist with graphics for presentations

We are currently searching for a Civil Drafter for our Chicago, IL office to work within our Site Civil group. The position would report to our Site Civil Group Manager; however, work could be related to other groups and offices within EXP.
Work closely with Project Managers and/or Discipline Leads to provide drafting work for various infrastructure projects. Projects will be Site Civil in nature and will include collaborative efforts with disciplines such as Structural, MEP, and Architects.
Develop project CADD standards, develop print sets for milestone reviews and final drawing deliverables.
Work may include development of drawings/exhibits for inspections and condition assessments, for planning or conceptual level studies and for final construction documents.
Perform quantity take-offs, prepare bar lists, and bill of material tables.
Prepare as-built drawings from field mark-ups.
Attend internal project related meetings as required.
Adhere to EXP and/or client directed QA/QC procedures.
Participate in EXP directed training to develop and enhance skill sets.
The Skills and Knowledge You Bring
Minimum requirements include a College Diploma in Engineering Technology or Architecture and 2 years of practical experience.
4 years practical experience in lieu of the diploma is required
Strong Civil3D experience.
Experience working with AutoDesk's modeling platform preferred.
Experience with MicroStation preferred, but not required.
Must be able to perform work using Microsoft's Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Must be able to work within a team environment.
Must have good communication skills and have the ability to be a self-directed employee.
Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Lead Contract Drafter (Annuities)
Performs contract drafting of fixed, index linked and variable annuity contracts for the introduction of new annuity products.
Overall responsibility and lead drafter for AXA's annuity line of products, i.e., Employer Sponsored and Individual Annuity product lines (and any newly formed lines of annuity business).
Draft generic and state variation in accordance with product design and regulatory requirements and prior filing experience.
Circulate drafts and conduct product and legal review meetings with Product, Law, Actuarial and Marketing departments.
Draft filing letter and required submission materials to regulatory agencies.
Revise/edit as necessary; analyze, research, respond and negotiate with internal and state reviewers to amend forms for any state objections.
Manage workload to meet timelines.
Create state variation reports for delivery to Product Management for broader communication to the various stakeholders.
5+ years work experience in an analytical and drafting role.

The Drafter, under the direction of the Drafting Supervisor, is responsible for drafting CAD drawings of components, subassemblies and assemblies using fabricated parts for design; reverse engineering.
- Utilize basic mechanical engineering skills as found in ANSI 14.5
- Utilize basic measuring tools such as measuring tape, calipers and micrometers, etc.
- Reverse engineer small structures and weldments in a fabrication shop environment
- Able to identify sizes of structural steel used in weldments
- Able to make sketches of (2’-8’ structures and weldments)
- Create Model drawings from hand sketches and measurements taken as stated above in CAD format using -Solid works
- Able to perform incoming inspections of engineered parts and assemblies
- Be familiar with and follow established document control / filing procedures
- Ability to interact with supervisors and peers
- Create 2D drawings or Electrical Schematics
- Create Customer Manuals using Word, Excel, Adobe Photo Shop and InDesign
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CAD Drafter/ Designer within the manufacturing industry
- Intermediate level skills in InDesign and Solid works or equivalent certifications
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Looking for drafters to be trained in the Telephony field. This work will include the use of Microstation to access and place the vendor's copper and fiber facilities.
They will also be trained to access data bases and multiple other programs. Candidates will have access to various websites, to assist in the placement of cables, terminals, FDH's, splitters, poles, splices, etc in the underground, the aerial and buried environments. Candidate will also be trained in regards to drafting inside highrise buildings.
Candidate will learn the vendor's OSP or Outside Plant terminology, rules and regulations. Drafters are required to complete a clean, concise and eventually error free work package for the vendor. Depending on the skill level of the candidate, light desk top engineering may be introduced as well.

The Mechanical Drafter's primary job function is to make change order revisions to mechanical drawings using Solid Works and Agile software. This position requires teamwork with other departments to ensure change orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Manage work load so that CO's are completed within 24 hours after department notification of a new change order
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for jigs, fixtures, gages and auxiliary equipment leveraging design experience and department design standards and best practices
Assist with processing 3D printing projects for the department and ordering of 3D printer consumables
Assist with the modification and implementation of department related quality system procedures ensuring compliance with FDA QSR's and ISO requirements
