DEA's is looking to hire a Survey Drafter for our Santa Clarita, CA office. The Survey Drafter will perform data processing and analysis, and prepare plats and maps under supervision of a Survey Project Manager or Survey Task Lead. The projects will be general surveying with an emphasis on transportation, construction, and mapping projects. The selected individual will be a good communicator and be able to complete work on schedule and within budget.
Provide office survey support to the field crews.
Responsible for record mapping, ALTA maps, parcel maps, and topographic surveys.
Prepare maps, record research, and field crew prep.
Work closely with Survey Manager and Project Surveyor.
Perform research, design and calculations for survey and mapping projects using AutoCAD.
Prepare exhibits and assist with descriptions and lot line adjustments.
Assist with field surveying when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering/CAD Drafting or other related degree.
Minimum 3 years of survey drafting
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Field survey experience
Experience with GPS processing, TDS, and automated linework
