Senior Drafter (Ft), Repairs & Maintenance - Days
Maintains and produces accurate documentation using CAD and manual drafting techniques for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
1.Verifies existing condition, location, routing, and configuration of MEP systems accessing spaces above the ceiling finish to visually confirm the systems with a tape measure or laser measuring device to ensure accuracy of the MEP system documentation.
2.Consults with management in developing and then drafting project plans indicating how building systems are to be affected by construction projects.
3.Provides plans to the refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical shop personnel for their use in maintaining the systems.
4.Obtains as-built information from trades personnel and contractors who have revised building systems in the course of their work.
5.Imports and integrates record drawing CAD and other electronic files provided by architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors into the Medical Center's depository of record files.
6.Organizes as-built plans (both electronically and in hard copy).
7.Develops and documents the Medical Center's MEP CAD standards and conventions for ensuring the usability and efficiency of the building systems documentation.
8.Provides hard copies, digital copies, or scans of drawings using large format plotters, scanners, printers, fax machine, and copiers to Medical Center personnel, contractors, architects, designers, and engineers..
9.Photographs areas or items as required with a digital camera to document existing conditions.
10. Maintains the physical condition of all plans on file within the department and keeps the plan room and project room organized and free of clutter.
11. Keeps abreast of emerging CAD technologies and makes recommendations for improving the Medical Center's software applications, processes, and access to drawings.
12. Designs and prints signage for Medical Center departments based on work order requests.
13. Maintains database of signage requests, including, but not limited to, standard fonts and color schematics.
14. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Associate's degree in Architectural, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent practical experience.
An additional 3 years of building infrastructure/systems experience.
Experience with MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and documents designs for existing product lines.
Documents and assists in implementing modifications to Kewaunee products.
Load Simple Bill of Material structure into SYTELINE.
Develops and designs plumbing and electrical components for existing products.
Makes final drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Uses computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software, including SYTELINE.
