Drapery & Upholstery Design Specialist
Full time designer wanted to help with sales of drapery and upholstery. This includes but is not limited to
assisting clients in selection of fabrics in our fabric showroom,
scheduling and attending in-home appointments with clients to measure windows and select design styles,
working knowledge of drapery design aspects, such as different pleats, rod types, linings and a various trims.
maintaining and organizing the fabric sample library and the fabric showroom,
contacting fabric provider to check availability,
ordering fabrics and writing work orders for client projects,
creating and maintaining a client log and client files,
create working relationships with fabric customer representatives and vendors,
greeting walk-in clients and assisting them as needed, and
answering phones as needed.
Must have the ability to use a personal computer, work independently in casual environment, have great organizational skills, have a warm demeanor and willingness to assist people in their home beautification goals, reliable car for off-site client appointments, ability to use a tape measure or laser measure and confidently work on a ladder for measurements and installations, interior window covering experience as well as customer service experience is required.

Saturday - Furniture Delivery Driver
Furniture delivery drivers needed for busy upholstery shop in Glenview 2-3 Saturdays per month. You must be reliable, honest, friendly, and careful. These are long term positions for the right candidates. Option for every Saturday is available.
Start time is 8:30 a.m. sharp. Route runs until approximately 2 pm; sometimes longer. Drivers will be required to drive a 7' x 12' box truck; must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record - no special license required.
Candidates must be strong enough to lift one end of a sofa and be able to carefully navigate thru doorways, hallways, etc. There will be two drivers at all times.
This position also requires some light warehouse sweeping, taking out recycling and trash, and straightening upholstery supplies in warehouse.
Knowledge of North Shore is helpful.
