Experienced Machine Operator/Roll Tender - All Shifts (Otsego & Clearwater)
The Roll Tender is responsible to assure set-up and actual jobs meet quality parameters and are completed on time. This position monitors efficiencies and assure jobs and personnel assigned to them are completing assigned work. The individual best suited for this role will be an individual with the ability to work with limited supervision. They also will have a proficiency with computers and knowledge of product lines.
This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties and responsibilities:
Identifies material and setup work stations.
Places rolls on machines and mounts them on the formers.
Starts rolls into formers and other machines.
Dismounts, fills out and attaches tag to scrap roll and takes rejected rolls to appropriate areas.
Ensures proper labeling of products and tracks roll stock and sheet tickets.
Completes and maintains necessary paperwork for inventory, quality control and recordkeeping.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; previous manufacturing experience with fabrication and set up experience.
Proficiency with computers; ability to work with limited supervision; knowledge of product lines. Forklift experience a plus.

The disciplines of painting and drawing have maintained relevancy both in arts education and the art world at large, and is often still the historical frame through which a variety of artistic approaches are viewed. The area of Painting and Drawing continues to enroll large numbers of students.
Aside from providing students with a strong visual foundation, our basic level courses service students from many other disciplines on campus. From the closely related disciplines of architecture and art education to diverse departments such as mathematics and anthropology, students are drawn to Painting and Drawing's introductory course offerings. Many of these students will become not only the audience but also a knowledgeable support group for the arts.
Regardless of age, there is a continued interest in learning how to paint and draw. This use of the hand and eye in the making of art objects is of eternal interest and takes on a special meaning in what many view as the depersonalized technological environment of the 21st century. The demonstrated success of the area is a direct result of a discipline-based curriculum that is required for the complexity of the subject.
It is essential that Painting and Drawing continues to provide students with a strong basic curriculum which also allows the area the ability to teach necessary complimentary topics classes. Continuing to teach important classes such as the Phenomenon of Color, Outdoor Studio, Nature and Technology, and additional courses based on our faculty's current research while also addressing the need to diversify our faculty and our students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is critical.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.F.A. in Studio Art with emphasis in Painting and Drawing.
Active exhibition record and new creative work in Painting and Drawing within the last three years. One year university-level teaching experience as instructor of record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Conversant in contemporary issues of theory and aesthetics, especially as they relate to painting and drawing and an ability to teach related courses.
Minimum of one year of University-level teaching experience of undergrads and grads. Collegiality. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.

The product drawing checker will thoroughly review and check solid models and detail drawings of compressor component piece parts and assemblies
The checker is responsible to deliver a dimensionally correct blueprint to the design engineer and/or shop production floor for fabrication and manufacturing purposes.
The complete bill of material is also checked and delivered for entry into the system where it will be used as the official document for ordering correct materials and hardware for the compressor components.
The experienced checker will play a key role as liaison between engineering, supply chain and shop floor
The experienced checker will aspire to mentor detail drafters, resulting in error free work and zero scrap and rework
The checker is responsible for ensuring the models and drawings are dimensionally correct and complete. They will verify the drawings utilize the correct methods of fabrication and manufacturing
The checker will also review any mating parts to verify any new designs will fit in the given envelope
Following engineering specifications, drafting specifications, material and hardware selection rules, and company and industry standards will be a vital role for the checker.
Correct interpretation of manufacturing requirements and how to apply those to the drawings is necessary
The checker must be able to deliver based on aggressive time schedules.

The Automation Machine Tender is very aware of safety procedures and strictly adheres to all safety, manufacturing, Quality and Continuous Improvement policies and procedures. The work performed is fast paced requiring movement from station to station for the majority of hours worked. Firm or fine grasping or manipulation with both hands is required. Performs quality assurance analysis during machine operation to prevent defective product from being produced and potentially reach the end user.
