Job duties include but are not limited to:
Sorts used linens into appropriate categories for washing. Sorts out stained or torn linen.
Loads washing machines with the appropriate items for a load. Weighs all loads and uses the appropriate amount and type of cleaning chemicals for each load.
Moves washed linens to dryers. Assures that load size and drying time is correct given linen being dried. Removes linen from driers and delivers it to appropriate area for folding.
Operates and maintains washing and drying equipment. Reports any problems or deficiencies to manager. Keeps laundry valet area organized and stocked with needed chemicals.
Ideal candidate will have:
Previous laundry/cleaning experience in a hotel/resort is preferred.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work an 8 hour shift and operate industrial sized machinery to wash/sort/dry linens.
Must be able to speak/read/write English.
A great attitude is required with ability to work weekends/holidays.
