Machinists in this position set up, operate and adjust radial drill press machines to rough out and finish holes in machined parts from various types of material, using jigs and fixtures. Frequent handling, carrying 10-35 pounds, cccasional carrying less than 10 pounds, bending at the waist, lifting 10-35 pounds, lifting less than 10 pounds , pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds, pushing/pulling less than 10 pounds, reaching, standing, walking. Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain work assignment from lead, supervisor, hot list or use on line computer systems. Work is determined by schedule/priority.
Check oil/coolant levels, initiate maint. and/or repair ticket, as required. Identify type of set-up required (e.g., production orders, first lots), determine work to be performed (e.g., lift hole, pre-bore hole, opposite face work) by reviewing work order (W/O), tie-in sheets, operator's or setup documents or blueprints.
Obtain appropriate drawings, Boeing (BAC) specification, documents and/or sketches, using computing systems (e.g., Bold/Web, BOLD Lite).
Ensure that correct material (e.g., type/size/quantity) and tools/fixtures were called out/issued.
Layout, plan, sequence work, use shop math and trigonometry to calculate dimensions. Select machine accessories (e.g., chucks, clamps, locating pins).
Identify fixtures, shop aids to be used and fabricate shop aides using appropriate equipment (e.g., bandsaw, drill press, sander).
Attach machine accessories, tools, fixtures (e.g., drill jig, stop blocks, set screws) and shop aids, using wrenches, bolts, and clamps.
Select /check cutting tools (e.g., drills, reamers, taps).
Ensure cutters are correct type, length, diameter, radius, and in good condition. Load/unload cutters, using tool holders (e.g., quick release/speed chuck, standard chuck) and hand tools (e.g., wrenches, mallets, spanners).
Load/unload work piece on drill table manually, with hydraulic lift cart or an overhead crane.
Set machine index points per drawing/work order, including drill, router and/or tap depth compensations, tool heights, by using radial drill controls (e.g., arm adjustment, head adjustment, spindle depth).
Run machine to perform machining operations (e.g., drilling, reaming, tapping, spot facing, counter boring).
Adjust machine settings to correct machining problems or to prepare machine for next operation.
Monitor machine during operation to ensure smooth operation.
Perform bearing installation into detail parts and roller swage retention, using appropriate equipment (e.g., arbor press, radial drill, swaging tools) per drawing, BAC specification and W/O, as required.
Check work after completion of each operation to ensure parts are complete per drawing and that there are no defects. Remove sharp edges/burrs from part using appropriate tools.
Dimensionally check key features, using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometer, caliper, bore gauge).
Sell completed job or in-process checks to inspector at appropriate steps in sequence. Perform minor rework.
Coordinate with lead/layout man or use computer to route parts to another organization/shop (e.g., bore machining, milling, tooling) for completion.
Assist others with setups, methods and procedures by passing on information/answering questions.
Handle/dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., coolants, solvents) in approved manner per Mat'l Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Maintain personal and tool certifications.

- Responsible for reading and interpreting blue prints including GD&T
- Read, write and edit programs in G-Code and other CAD/CAM software and identify areas of opportunity for program efficiency.
- Verify revision levels on method sheet, tooling sheet and router match, alerting Supervisor if discrepancies are found.
- Identify, document and dispose of scrap.
- Must setup and load material into a bar feeder/bar loader. Step through program and make offsets to complete a part to print specifications.
- Verify revision levels on router and method sheets.
- Install appropriate tooling and touch off.
- Change inserts, drill boring bars, etc. when needed and return all usable tooling to the tool crib. Recycle all Carbide tooling.
- Troubleshoot any production issue in regards to machining and getting assistance for program related issues.
- Add hydraulic oil and/or cutting fluids to the machine(s) when needed.
- Make appropriate offsets and/or speed and feed adjustments to program if needed to maintain part quality.
- Train others and share knowledge
- Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Summary Description of Position
Under minimum supervision, moves drill to designated location within the quarry and safely maneuvers into position to drill blast holes. Operates unit to drill holes according to drill pattern. Maintains bits, hammers and steel tubes and can change steels as needed. Driller must coordinate with the Lead Driller to ensure all Drill & Blasting Standards are followed.
Driller inspects and maintains drill's mechanisms, lubricant systems and fluid levels. Makes minor repairs by replacing gaskets, filters, hoses, etc. Must complete drilling and blasting reports as required. Driller coordinates with Lead Driller and maintains drilling supplies inventory. Trains and directs the work of drill helpers, plus provides specific drill task training to drill helpers as needed. Assists in drill and blast pattern design layout. Driller must be willing to travel as needed.
- Highway drills on occasion are moved from one plant location to another as required. (CDL license will be required, within 6 months of employment, which includes medical certification and compliance with all FDOT Standards)

Position Objective: The Press Operator role is responsible for the set up and operation of single and multi-color flexo printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements/expectations.

This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc.
Reads and understands job jacket to ensure production is run according to specification.
Performs machine make-ready to set it up to run proper production.
Performs quality checks according to established procedures to ensure all Quality Standards (Color matches and Registration) are being met. Makes necessary adjustments to Press and other elements of the process as needed.
Records and maintains data related to downtime, including amount of time, reason for downtime, and actions to correct problem.
Enters daily production data on PC located at Press and adjustments to press that are controlled by computer.
Performs machine trouble shooting and makes adjustments to correct quality or efficiency problems related to machine set up or mechanical defect.
Keeps all waste and scrap within company guidelines.
Fills out all pre-make ready and approval sheets.
Assist in training of new employees and directing the daily duties of subordinates.
Ensures correct inks are in place and are changed out when necessary.
Stages rolls of paper at the back of the press using air activated roll pusher, manually pushing rolls into final position.
Assist in removal of W.I.P pallets from press.
Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision.
Basic understanding of Machinery (Hydraulics and Pneumatics). Ability to use hand tools to remove, install, and adjust parts of machine.
Ability to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and applies good mathematical reasoning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to be detail oriented.
Participates in routine BBS/PBS activates as required.
Positive work attitude and willingness to cooperate.
Required to stand to perform all duties of the job.
Pushing/moving of raw material and equipment required. Weight range will be from 100 to 2000 lbs.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
