Set ups may include changing chucks, jigs, fixtures, adjusting feeds, speeds and pressures, and setting up hoppers and loading chutes.Performs a variety of operations, individually or simultaneously, such as drill, tap counter ore, ream, chamfer, deburr, thread toll, etc., on miscellaneous bearing parts.Mills various types of slots, keyways, notches, and flats on milling machine.Removes and/or resharpens drills, deburring tools, etc. to maintain quality.Performs whatever manual operations may be necessary. This may include placing parts in jig or chuck, loading hoppers, replacing drill bits, or unloading parts after operations are complete.Uses a variety of gages and measuring devices to maintain specified tolerances and visual specifications, including depth and plug gages, micrometers, etc

CNC Radial ARM Drill
Must be able to set up, operate and maintain conventional and special purpose machine to fabricate structural parts and assemblies with minimal assistance.
*Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and lay out techniques.
*Maintain accurate parts through the operation of the machine and follow quality assurance procedures.
*Read and understand blueprints and instructions required for assigned job.
*Use depth gauges and other measuring devices to ensure a quality product.
*Demonstrates proficiency in one or more ofthe
folling equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, preses, brakes and shears.

- Inspect/check product in accordance with procedures using gauges and measuring tools to ensure print specifications and quality standards are maintained.
- Timely and accurate completion of required paperwork on inspection and operations (job tickets, scrap and daily production records etc).
- Stack and move material as required.
- Make adjustments to machines to maintain dimensional specifications and rework parts as necessary.
- Replace worn or broken tools.
- Comply with safe operations (machine guarding, proper operation of machinery for safe operation, etc.).
- Train and assist operator as needed on difficult jobs or unusual work instructions and to adjust or re-set work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Die Punch Press Set Up Operator
Operate and make required Set-ups on presses performing a limited variety of component operations, setting dies, adjusting stroke, attaching and adjusting safety equipment, working with parts similar in nature, but varying in size or detail. Obtain first piece inspection release, check work during run for dimensions, burrs, cracking or buckling, and visually inspect components for obvious damage or defects before swaging.
Work from drawings, shop orders, samples, use a limited variety of measuring equipment. Occasionally-instruct operator as to special job conditions or safety precautions. Notify supervisor regarding the necessity of reconditioning, difficulties with parts or tooling, and malfunction of equipment. Move material, parts, or containers, using hand truck, segregate and remove scraps.
· Must have a minimum of 2 years of punch press set-up experience.
· Know how to program Smartpac.
· Operate and Setup 150, 200 and 300 ton press.
· Use of measuring instruments. Scales, veneer calipers, indicators, and height gages.
· Adjust fixtures to bring parts to spec with the use of hand tools, drive pin punches, and hex wrenches.
Follow the prescribed safety practice, including the use of all safety equipment furnished.
