This position is primarily responsible for set up and operation of a press brake to bend metal parts/sheets to the desired dimensions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
Reads job order, blueprint and/ or work instruction for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determine sequence of operations.
Create, edit, and save programs, work with Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to create new programs
Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures. Set machine to properly form work piece.
Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications.
Stack, and identify parts for remaining processes.
First part produced inspected 100 percent for each critical operation and in-process inspections as required.
Works at different stations or departments as production needs require.
Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment
Ability to train other operators
Other duties as assigned

Press Brake Set Up Operator
The setup operator position sets up and operates the press brake machine under supervision and direction of the Production Team Leader.
Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: setting up and operating presses, dies switch outs and inspect.
Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of factory-related experience.
Able to read blueprints, use common mechanical measuring devices.
Able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness and quality system awareness.

The basic function of the Utility Operator is to set up and operate drill press, hand punch, rollers, punch press, timesaver, fladder, floppy wheel, shear and other special purpose machines to fabricate or deburr metallic and non-metallic parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Set up and operate machines listed above.
Fabricate and/or modify parts to meet customer requirements.
Study blueprints, supplemental drawings, specifications, or in some cases, a sample part, to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting or punching tools, attachments, and accessories needed to perform required functions on machines.
Calculate and set controls to regulate repeatability of processes.
Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust machine controls as required.
Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blue prints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
Accurately fill out work order routers with correct quantity of good parts and scrap parts.
Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve any problems that may arise.
Create the best product possible with no defects to help maintain a high standard of quality.
Education and/or Experience:

The Gun Drill operator will work as part of the direct manufacturing shop floor team. In this position, the Gun Drill operator will supply a finished, drilled part while maintaining tolerances in a manufacturing environment.
