LEADERSHIP POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position title: Church Drummer
Reports to: Director of Music
Date Revised: March 2018
Principle Function
A skillful born-again musician to minister the gospel through contemporary and traditional Christian/gospel music. The Church Drummer is responsible for playing for congregational services, the choirs, accompanying musical groups, the pastor and assisting in other musical activities in the church (onsite and offsite). Work in harmony with the Director of Music, Music Department, and leaders of the church to fulfill the Pastor’s vision as it relates to the ministry of music and overall mission of the church.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Play for all services of the church, both regular and special, as directed by the Pastor and Music Director. This includes funerals conducted in the sanctuary as well as other occasions when a drummer is needed.
- Assist the Director of Music and Pastor with planning the various worship services of the church.
- Travels with the Pastor and accompany Church choirs in and out-of-town
- Play for special church-sponsored events such as evangelistic outreach, fine arts, etc. when requested. This includes learning the music and attending special and necessary rehearsals leading up to the production. (Weddings must be arranged separately between the wedding party and musician).
- Accompany choir rehearsals (Echoes of Praise, Youth, Children, special days choir) as directed by the Director of Music. Work with the Director of Music (or designee) to prepare music material choir rehearsals.
- Practice regularly and attend weekly band rehearsals to prepare to accompany musical groups, including the Praise Team or special events/activities requiring music.
- Assist the Director of Music in ensuring that the drums are in good working order and up-to-date. Promptly notify the Director of Music if any repairs/maintenance is needed for the drums.
- Assist the Director of Music in preparing for sound checks before worship services and special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Music or Office of the Pastor.
- Become a member of Victorious Believers Ministries.
- Mandatory attendance required on major service days including Vision Day, Pastoral Anniversary, Men & Women’s Weekend and any other days designated by pastor.
- Ensure that the band area is kept neatly and direct any concerns to the Minister of Music and/or Administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed bible study, prayer and meditation.
- Become a member of Victorious Believers Ministries
- Faithfully attend services and teaching ministries.
- Financially support the work of VBM by faithfully tithing (10% of your income). Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90%.
- Promote and support the overall vision of the Pastor to all music participants.
- Attend at least one prayer monthly (i.e. Monday evenings, Monday-Friday Noon).
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Pastor and/or the Music Director in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Policies established by Victorious Believers Ministries.

PRODUCT
Treats our shoes and accessories with love, making sure the floor is always full, priced correctly, displayed to company standards, with right signage and beautifully presented. Refuses to accept anything less than a clean, pretty store.
Works urgently to process shipment or transfers within deadlines so our customers never miss that perfect pair. Proudly serves as a brand ambassador for Skechers, sharing their extensive product knowledge everyday.
PEOPLE

OPERATIONS

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist store management in leading assigned location to achieve sales goals through consistent operational excellence, discipline, and a committed team who execute flawlessly. The role of a 2nd Assistant Manager is to assist the Store Manager in fulfilling and executing the company mission statement on a daily basis. Is obsessive about our product, people and our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES
• Assists the Store Manager in meeting or exceeding assigned sales plans and target metric objectives within the assigned store.
Maintains a commitment to the company's sales processes, values and business code of ethics.
Ability to achieve results and work with employees to ensure goals are achieved.
Responsible for properly and accurately receiving merchandise, calculating sale discount,
totaling bills, accepting payment, and making change for customers; trains others to do the same.
PRODUCT
Ensures consistent execution of company's marketing and visual presentation.
Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise end caps to promote sales.
Ensures a "wallpaper" image is consistent throughout the store.
Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise and merchandise boxes ;trains others on
current directives.
Stocks shelves, counters, or end caps with merchandise.
Ability to create excitement and show passion for the product by communicating relevant
information about fitness and fashion to customers. Able to answers questions about product features and benefits; teaches others to do the same.
PEOPLE
Trains staff on how to drive sales to fullest potential through continued development on product knowledge, customer service standards and visual presentation.
Assists Store Manager by recruiting top talent to support sales and growth of company.
Partners with Store Manager to hire, develop and retain top talent.
Assists Store Manager with new hire and other human resources paperwork upon request.
May assist with the maintenance and retention of all HR paperwork to ensure employee
folders are kept current and complete.

OPERATIONS
Demonstrates the ability to consistently follow and also ensure others follow The Promise and all company customer service standards.
Ensures compliance to policies and procedures at all times and reports any concerns to senior management.
Confers with management to ensure that banking deposits are made and recorded daily; responsible for delivering to the bank, at a specified location, with or without armored car service, as directed by the Store Manager.
Ensures that the store is secured at closing (i.e. doors locked, safe locked, alarms are set).
Ability to remove and record cash in register at end of shift/closing and prepare bank
deposits properly.
Works proactively with Store Manager to develop solutions to decrease losses and shrink.
Maintains proper inventory controls, facilitates inventory transaction and bulk counts as
directed by senior management.
- Ensures price integrity and general pricing of product on the floors is reflective of current
markdowns and markups per company directives.
- Ensures all sales are rung correctly and that all associates are trained on how to properly
ring a transaction.
- Leads by example and works along-side staff performing work and teaching best practices
(IE: shifting bins and walls of product). Expected physical work load and manual labor to
be performed by management may be heavy (warehouse environment).
- Effectively delegates tasks to other hourly employees to ensure the store is properly
recovered for the next day's business.
- Always willing and able to lead by example when cleaning shelves, counters, end caps and
overall store; teaches standards to others.
- Works with store management to ensure inventory is checked in, stocked correctly on
shelves and displayed within 24 hours of receipt per operational standards.
Ensures Elite goals are met for the store.
Keeps daily record of store sales, scheduling, damages, mismates, deposit log, employee
discounts, new hire paperwork, paid outs and visitor log.
- Responsible for carrying out area of responsibilities (AOR) tasks, assignments and
execution under the supervision and direction of the Store Manager.
Completes the daily planner and ensures chat-ins and chat-outs occur during every shift.
All employees are required to use ladders as an essential function of this job, as that is part
of the daily duties to maintain the store's daily operations and in order to service customers. Therefore, dress code and safety policies must be followed. This is also outlined under the PHYSICAL DEMANDS section of the job description.

Responsible for driving top line sales by driving unit sales at a high velocity. Responsible for selling all types of product to customers, meet and greet customers, transfer or receive liquidated merchandise from the Skechers Concept and Outlet locations.
Not all Sales Associates will have cashier responsibilities. Therefore if you are asked to cashier, managers will train you to accept payment and making change for customers in our retail stores. 9.Accepts payment and makes change if trained to do so.
10. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
11. Cleans shelves, counters, tables, floors and overall store.
12. Calculates sales discount to determine price.

Assist store management in leading assigned location to achieve sales goals through consistent operational excellence, discipline, and a committed team who execute flawlessly. The role of a 2nd Assistant Manager is to assist the Store Manager in fulfilling and executing the company mission statement on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES
• Assists the Store Manager in meeting or exceeding assigned sales plans and target metric objectives within the assigned store.
Maintains a commitment to the company's sales processes, values and business code of ethics.
Ability to achieve results and work with employees to ensure goals are achieved.
Responsible for properly and accurately receiving merchandise, calculating sale discount,
totaling bills, accepting payment, and making change for customers; trains others to do the same.
PRODUCT
Ensures consistent execution of company's marketing and visual presentation.
Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise end caps to promote sales.
Ensures a "wallpaper" image is consistent throughout the store.
Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise and merchandise boxes ;trains others on
current directives.
Stocks shelves, counters, or end caps with merchandise.
Ability to create excitement and show passion for the product by communicating relevant
information about fitness and fashion to customers. Able to answers questions about product features and benefits; teaches others to do the same.
PEOPLE
Trains staff on how to drive sales to fullest potential through continued development on product knowledge, customer service standards and visual presentation.
Assists Store Manager by recruiting top talent to support sales and growth of company.
Partners with Store Manager to hire, develop and retain top talent.
Assists Store Manager with new hire and other human resources paperwork upon request.
May assist with the maintenance and retention of all HR paperwork to ensure employee
folders are kept current and complete.

OPERATIONS
Demonstrates the ability to consistently follow and also ensure others follow The Promise and all company customer service standards.
Ensures compliance to policies and procedures at all times and reports any concerns to senior management.
Confers with management to ensure that banking deposits are made and recorded daily; responsible for delivering to the bank, at a specified location, with or without armored car service, as directed by the Store Manager.
Ensures that the store is secured at closing (i.e. doors locked, safe locked, alarms are set).
Ability to remove and record cash in register at end of shift/closing and prepare bank
deposits properly.
Works proactively with Store Manager to develop solutions to decrease losses and shrink.
Maintains proper inventory controls, facilitates inventory transaction and bulk counts as
directed by senior management.
- Ensures price integrity and general pricing of product on the floors is reflective of current
markdowns and markups per company directives.
- Ensures all sales are rung correctly and that all associates are trained on how to properly
ring a transaction.
- Leads by example and works along-side staff performing work and teaching best practices
(IE: shifting bins and walls of product). Expected physical work load and manual labor to
be performed by management may be heavy (warehouse environment).
- Effectively delegates tasks to other hourly employees to ensure the store is properly
recovered for the next day's business.
- Always willing and able to lead by example when cleaning shelves, counters, end caps and
overall store; teaches standards to others.
- Works with store management to ensure inventory is checked in, stocked correctly on
shelves and displayed within 24 hours of receipt per operational standards.
Ensures Elite goals are met for the store.
Keeps daily record of store sales, scheduling, damages, mismates, deposit log, employee
discounts, new hire paperwork, paid outs and visitor log.
- Responsible for carrying out area of responsibilities (AOR) tasks, assignments and
execution under the supervision and direction of the Store Manager.
Completes the daily planner and ensures chat-ins and chat-outs occur during every shift.
All employees are required to use ladders as an essential function of this job, as that is part
of the daily duties to maintain the store's daily operations and in order to service customers. Therefore, dress code and safety policies must be followed. This is also outlined under the PHYSICAL DEMANDS section of the job description.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
