Utility Worker - Kiln Helper
Job Title: Utility
Work Hours: 8 to 12 hours daily, 5-6 days/week
Performs a variety of manual labor tasks throughout the production areas.
Occasionally operates forklift.
High school graduate preferred.
Previous manual labor experience.
Ability to learn to operate forklift.
Valid driver's license required. Essential Job Functions: (Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)
Physical: Constant stand/walk up to 1·2 miles depending on job assignment.
Frequent lift/carry up to 50 lbs. (brick product) ground level to 6 ft., short distances to 100 ft.
Occasional push/pull using both hands/arms moving wheelbarrow, hopper exerting up to 30-50 lbs. force. Occasional climbing ladder, steps, catwalks throughout plant. Constant bend/twist at waist/knees/neck, picking/stacking brick.
Constant use of both hands/arms in reaching, handling, grasping bricks, tools and equipment.
Constant use of sight and hearing abilities, inspecting brick and awareness to moving equipment.
Requires color vision.
Mental: Constant mental awareness needed for work safety.
Fast paced work environment.
Flexible to learn new tasks.
Work Conditions: Works in and outdoors.
Hazards are numerous including: heat, cold, dust, noise, oil slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, exposure to moving equipment and machinery, electrical shock, hazardous chemicals and products, may work inside or outside and be exposed to temperature extremes and be required to work extended hours or as needed on occasion.

- Fully supports the Safety Program at Kapstone
- Summerville Lumber Mill.
Complies with Company policies and exhibits professional conduct at all times.
Physically capable of lifting and placing cross pieces on packs of lumber (as much as 50 pounds).
Keep close attention to quality when stacking packs to avoid down grade.
Must be able to distinguish size, widths, lengths, or types of lumber.
Must be able to stack lumber on Kiln trucks.
Must be able to keep up with production demands at green stacker.
Must keep assigned Forklift clean and greased.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and overtime.
Must be able to drive a 35,000 pound Forklift.
A high school diploma or GED
Safety and good housekeeping are a must.
Must be able to read, write and understand written materials. Perform basic math computations as required for safety, quality, and production functions.
The ability to follow oral and written instructions and policies.
Should be able to communicate verbally and with hand signals.

The Dish Machine Operator (DMO)/Utility is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils/vessels by using both mechanical and manual cleaning methods in accordance with Ruby Tuesday standards. DMO/Utility communicates with and supports the Garden Bar Specialist to ensure the Garden Bar is always 100% stocked. Breaks down the Garden Bar and dish machine area following Ruby Tuesday procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
Take pride in his/her appearance while adhering to the Ruby Tuesday Dress & Appearance Policy.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Rinse, wash, sort, and stack glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils/vessels by using both mechanical and manual cleaning methods; return dishes and cooking utensils/vessels to the line or the proper storage location.
Set up, maintain, and break down the garden bar and dish area, including assembling/ disassembling the dish machine.
Support the Garden Bar Specialist by preparing items for service for garden bar according to specifications.
Wash and clean fruit and vegetables for peeling, dicing, shredding, or slicing using kitchen hand-utensils and electric equipment.
Measure and assemble ingredients and cooked items according to Ruby Tuesday recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items served on the garden bar.
Complete specific cleaning responsibilities and station maintenance including, but not limited to, the walk-in refrigeration, prep, and dry storage areas.
Dispose of trash and debris according to Ruby Tuesday procedures.
Maintain clean, stocked, and sanitary restrooms through regular restroom checks.
Clean and maintain the cleanliness of carpeted and non-carpeted floors according to Ruby Tuesday standards and procedures.
Clean, roll, and unroll kitchen mats.
Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant. Deck scrub walk ways and back dock area.
Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
Position requires slip-resistant shoes.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
Operate PK kilns and manage PK kiln activities and assist with parts cleaning tasks to produce parts as
specified by customer order requirements; monitor other related functions to ensure product quality and
consistent operating standards; provide direction and training for other operators in the area as needed or
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all PPE and job- or area-specific workplace safety requirements
Properly use lockout/tagout procedures
Assist with Quality audits as needed
Maintain control charts and/or other QC-required documents
Test fire and check pressed parts, dye check parts to determine quality and make necessary adjustments
Competently operate all essential machines and/or equipment in the work cell
Help evaluate equipment tooling if necessary
Identify and actively participate in continuous improvements of safety, quality, and production
Maintain or exceed standard production rates
Monitor all PK kiln firing processes, intervene as needed to ensure superior firing results
Plan, schedule production employee training on using SAP for production
Safely and properly perform power checks, change glow bars as needed
Train other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setup
Troubleshoot general problems in the area including machine or equipment problems as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 Or more years experience with work cell-specific machines and equipment
Knowledge of product quality concepts and ISO principles
Can use a variety of inspection and measuring tools and techniques, including comparators if necessary
Technical awareness, able to work with data analysis and problem solving techniques
Able to meet physical demands and tolerate environmental conditions with or without reasonable accommodation
Create or modify process procedures when warranted with proper input from work cell or support leadership
Effectively train other operators or area personnel and assist with skill level development
Provide leadership by directing and assisting others as needed and set a positive example

SPECIAL POSITION CONSIDERATIONS
Comfortable wearing all forms of personal protective equipment devices such as respirators and protective apparel such as gloves, work shoes, and eyewear
Able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds for up to 20 feet
Able to walk or stand for long periods and up to 2 hours at a time
Must maintain consistent attendance as scheduled to support business and operational needs
Production - Kiln Operator 2Nd Shift 6Pm-6Am
SUMMARY: Performs intermediate skilled work in operating and maintaining the kiln; does related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates and monitors all production kilns.
Operate the kiln, including start-up and lighting.
Monitor and regulates all kiln operating parameters.
Records temperatures and other parameters as required.
Checks burners to be sure they are all on/off correctly.
Ensures that kiln fans, transfers, etc., are operating properly.
Responds and assists with all kiln emergencies.
Ensures smooth flow of product through kilns.
Operates forklift for job related duties.
Performs assigned PM duties.
Organize and assist roller changes.
Maintains cleanliness of assigned area.
Practices correct safety procedures.
Performs related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of the principles and practices of operating and servicing kilns; general knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary to operate the equipment; general knowledge of the materials being fired and of propane burner systems; ability to make decisions; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to direct the work of other personnel; ability to assume the safety responsibility for the entire crew; and the ability to wear a respirator. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.

Spray Dry Operator
Food & Flavor company located in Clark, NJ is in need of experienced Spray Dry Operators for the 3rd Shift.
After training period selected candidates will be assigned to a Weekend schedule that will include two 12 hour days Friday- Saturday and Saturday-Sunday and two 8 hour days during the week.
Product formulation from raw materials including but not limited to-Compounding various liquid formulas and preparing emulsions used in production formulas.
Operation, cleaning and maintenance of processing equipment. Complete understanding of spray dry technology.
Operate various spray drying units to achieve desired results.
Packaging of finished product associated with spray drying.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration :
Minimum of 2 years of experience and knowledge as Spray Dry Operator (liquid or powder) and regulations.
Candidates with Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical and/or Food & Flavor will be considered.
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and move up to 400 lbs, operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions.
HS or equivalent required.
Ability to perform math computations involving percentages, multiplication, division etc.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
