Plasma Sprayer - 3Rd Shift (Entry Level)
Perform a variety of duties to plan, set up, and spray parts to meet production requirements. Mask and/or grit blast part to prepare for coating. Use judgment in determining proper flow and speed of spray for the best results and compliance with all specifications.
Assist management in reviewing production schedules and estimating labor hours required for completion of job assignments.
Interpret work orders, engine manuals, and blueprints to determine information such as type of operations, and sequence of operations required.
Work with Engineering to develop plasma spray programs, determine new methods, develop parameters, and determine material type for new or modified products. Assist with new tooling ideas.
Provide direction to other workers where modifications and adjustments are required to meet specifications and ensure quality treatment.

Ensure regular maintenance of equipment, such as rebuilding guns and changing contact tubes.
Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure acceptable operational standards are maintained and that product meets all specifications and requirements. Oversee booth inspection processes.
Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to immediate supervisor. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations
In addition to plasma spray duties, cross training will be required to learn and perform other duties as necessary.

Positions allocable to this class have responsibility for selecting and applying pesticide treatments to the grounds and property of the County and to public areas under contract to the County. Essential Job Functions
Selects, mixes, and applies or participates in the selection, mixing, and application of various pesticides such as insecticides, algaecides, rodenticides, herbicides and fungicides for areas such as turf, fence lines, ball diamonds, planter and shrub beds, waterways, access roads, parks, government building exteriors, landscaping on median strips, parkway planters on public roadways, and public jurisdiction rights-of-way; uses respirators and appropriate protective gear in the application of pesticides as required by the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal-Osha), Department of Agriculture and other regulatory agencies; develops vegetation control spray programs and schedules for a maintenance area or region of a County Department and participates in the management of such programs; maintains spray equipment including preventive maintenance and minor repair; oversees compliance with label requirements; orders and may issue controlled pesticides; keeps records, prepares and maintains reports regarding control and use of pesticides; responsible for the safe storage and use of pesticides in conformance with regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency and State Department of Agriculture, Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Department of Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures; provides safety training to pesticide applicators and others associated with pesticide applications; provides technical direction in the safe and effective application of restricted and non-restricted pesticides to a small crew of Grounds Maintenance Workers, Public Works Maintenance Workers, Public Works Laborers or others workers performing pesticide spraying activities; drives and operates vehicles such as, but not limited to, small to large pickup trucks, crew cab trucks, and vehicles with motorized spray equipment to various jobsite locations; cleans facilities or sites after performing work assignments; and documents work hours or activities.

A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS IV – Arduous: Involves frequent heavy lifting over 25 pounds, often combined with bending, twisting, or working on irregular surfaces; and occasionally requires extraordinary physical activity.

Rock Climbing Wall Attendant
This is a part-time position working 15 or less hours a week.
The Rock Climbing Wall Attendant is responsible for monitoring, instructing and assisting patrons in the proper and safe use of the rock climbing and bouldering wall at the Kroc Center. This position will also conduct climbing wall and climbing gear orientation sessions, set new routes, answer patron questions, take hourly counts, inventory equipment, lead rental groups, and assist with preventative maintenance for the wall and its equipment.

Grand Rapids Production Painter & Sprayer
Role Summary:The Paint and Adhesive Specialist will be responsible to paint various products to customer specifications and mix adhesives to a standard manufacturing process. In this role, you will:
Candidates must be familiar with both booth air and gravity paint spraying. Must be familiar with high volume low pressure painting.
Must be able to apply epoxy based, polyurethane, and enamel paints, and must be able to apply conformal coating to printed wiring cards. The painter is required to mix and perform viscosity testing of paints and also required to mix and test epoxy adhesives. Must be able to create nameplate/labels on various media and adjust equipment to meet customer specifications.
Must be able to work from manufacturing work instructions, read blueprints, while working under minimal supervision. Must possess basic computer skills within a Windows environment.
High school Diploma / GED
Minimum of 2 years experience in a high volume, low pressure production spray painting environment
