Washroom & Drying Operator

This position is responsible for loading the laundry into the washer via a monorail delivery system, operating the washing machines, and unloading washing machines. Once trained on the washing machine, the next step is to get trained using the dryers (similar to washing machine process).
Move the bundles of laundry over to the large top loading laundry machines
Opens the bags and funnels the dirty laundry into the washing machine (picking up any pieces of laundry which falls on the floor)
Turn on the machine and water/detergent is added to the machine via piping in the ceiling (almost no exposure to chemicals).
Empty out the washing machine and move the laundry to the drying department.
(Once you are trained in the washing department, you will learn to operate the industrial dryers.)

General Position Summary:
Operate machines to manufacture parts for railcar production.
Operate shears, manual and CNC press brakes, CNC plasma-punch, punches, iron worker and other like machines
Use grinder and edge prep machines
Use tape measure to assure parts meet specifications
Safely perform job duties with little guidance, with a high level of efficiency
Assemble ladders by following assembly drawings
Maintain accurate part counts and quality
Perform various shop related tasks as assigned by area supervision.

Isothermal press team members will work with High Temperature furnaces and Isothermal Press Components to uniformly forge and heat isothermal parts to prescribed temperatures, duration and quenching process to manufacture parts with conforming grain structures.
Essential Functions: This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities, and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
Demonstrates understanding of isothermal forging processes in the capacity of successful forging of isothermal forgings. Reads work orders and blueprints to determine specified tolerances and sequences of operations.
Operates control systems for isothermal furnace loading operations. Operates Isothermal Press Controls to turn on, check system, initiate press set- up, load dies and tooling into press and remove tooling after forge run is complete. Assists in developing and writing procedural and operational work instructions, FMEA-s and other required documentation
Monitors all system status and alarms, including, but not limited to, vacuum, cooling water, argon, air, electrical, furnace and die heater TC-s, manipulator and part positioning, etc.
Follows all procedures and escalates accordingly any indications, alarms or system malfunctions.
Monitors quality of product to ensure meeting quality and dimensional specifications and takes appropriate action when out of specification product is identified. Ensure complete data for quality review before final submission to the customer. .
Measure and inspect parts using various inspection tools (Calipers, Gauges, Micrometers etc.) to ensure conformance to product specifications, fills out inspection reports and inspects/identifies sign of non-fill, wedge, tearing, lapping and cracking.
Completes accurate die stack assemblies and planning based on successful mastery of all other major job operations.

- Test the machine before main work begins to be sure that it’s in good condition for production.
- Clean up machine parts after every work procedure.
- Set all machines for daily operations.
- Insert all production materials in the various parts of the machine where they are supposed to be to enhance production output.
- Ensure that machines are calibrated and recalibrated before and after production procedures.
- Troubleshoot machine problems to determine actual faults.
- Strictly adhere to job specification and ensure good quality work.
- Ensure timely preparation and availability of all production materials to avoid shortage during production.
- Report to Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress using RedZone on iPad at each work station.
- Perform Quality checks/work with and report any food safety & quality issues.
