Dump Truck Driver
Looking for a dump truck driver for local hauling. Must have valid CDL license with a clean driving record, and able pass random drug testing.
Hours will vary depending on the season - typically 30-60 hours weekly. Monday through Friday - occasional Saturday. Requires one year dump truck experience.
Wage is depending on experience. Offering both full and part time positions. Pay is negotiable $13 Plus depending on experience.
Flat Bed And Dump Truck Driver Jobs
Experienced dump truck and flatbed drivers needed for steady work in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Hours are plentiful with shifts Monday through Saturday between 6:00 to 6:30 am. Drivers will be hauling dirt, rocks, and gravel until deliveries are complete; or until dark. Occasional clean out of truck bed is required. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with the opportunity for overtime after 40 hours.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate a dump truck but not limited to that type of truck.
Must be able to perform pre-trip inspection on truck.
Transport and deliver construction materials to projects in a timely manner.
May perform other duties or operate other types of trucks.

Job Summary* This driver operates one or more types of commercial motorized vehicle dump trucks for the purpose of hauling and dumping sand, gravel, asphalt, and other construction materials in a regional area. Responsibilities/Duties *Job Duties
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned truck for defects and safe operating condition for each shift. Submits a written or electronic report on the condition of the truck at the end of each shift. As required by the CDL, inspection includes, but is not limited to: identifying loose and/or malfunctioning parts, tires, leaks, safety hazards, etc.
Operate 30-ton tri axle or 34-ton quad axle dump trucks, and applies knowledge of commercial driving skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading and unloading areas.
Maintain vehicle and/or equipment to a high standard of cleanliness.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Operate auxiliary equipment, such as a hand jack-hammer, as required, in the maintenance and repair of trucks and equipment.
Responsible for the safety of self, others, materials, and equipment. Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents. Operate manual or automatic tarp covering.
Proper loading and unloading of freight to assure safety and minimal risk of damage to cargo and danger to people.
Communicate with plant and crew personnel to assist with loading and unloading of materials.
Schedule and attend DOT physicals as required to maintain driving privileges.
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions, other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to pickup and delivery of cargo.
Report highway safety hazards noted en route.
Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Report to your work assignment as scheduled, in a timely manner, while displaying professionalism.
Perform related duties as required by management. Required Skills *Job Requirements
Valid Class B CDL, with satisfactory driving record and knowledge of commercial driving regulations, vehicle safety, control systems, and roads is required. H and/or N endorsements preferred.
Must have 2 years previous CDL driving experience. Tri-axle dump truck experience required. Asphalt exp. preferred.
Must not have been cited for any DOT accidents in the past 3 years; not have more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years; and, not have a DUI or reckless driving violation in the last 7 years.
Current DOT medical card and ability to pass regular DOT physicals, including drug/alcohol screenings.
Maintain a valid CDL in compliance with DOT regulations and advise employer of any changes of such.
Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and transportation of hazardous materials.
Ability to follow federal, state, and company policies, procedures and other safety regulations to promote safe driving and work environment.
Good communication skills is required in communicating effectively with business users. Ability to read and speak english sufficiently to converse with plants and crews, to respond to inquiries, to read and follow maintenance manuals, and make entries on reports or records.
Sufficient vision or other powers of observation that permits the employee to review, evaluate and prepare a variety of written and electronic documents and materials.
