POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This position uses a Best Care Best Experience approach to perform routine food service tasks in the kitchen, cafeteria, catering, dining room, dish room and patient areas. This includes preparing, serving, distributing food and cleaning, sanitizing dishes, utensils and work area while promoting a safe environment and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines.
Job duties in this position include:
Moving all equipment and thoroughly cleaning the floors; this includes moving carts, cold tables, reach in refrigerators and freezers, and shelving
Emptying and refilling mop bucket as needed to ensure the floors are clean
Clean handsinks and replenish papertowles and soap in dispensers
Sweep and mop catering, nourishment, cold prep areas, kitchen area, and dry storage area
Sweep entire department being sure to get under equipment
Using the floor machine, ensuring it is not scrated or dented
Mop the entire try line area being sure to get underneath the tray line and equpipment
Take out trash in the department and clean containers as needed
Sweep and mop the dumpster room and entry way areas
Clean the floor machine thoroughly
Take out linen bags, make sure dirty linen bag receptacle is clean and organized
Clean all dust pays (may be ran through the dish machine as the final items to be ran through

Dust Control Facilities Maintenance Assistant
The Dust Control Facilities Maintenance Assistant position will be responsible for performing specialized cleaning tasks and special projects to support ongoing facility operations for Facilities Department that are initiated through work requests or as dispatched by the Engineering control room, call center, or a member of management in accordance with Hospital standards. Duties to include but not limited to high dusting, cleaning high/low level ceiling/wall vents, cleaning sprinkler heads, cleaning walls by removing dust, dusting screens, and cleaning televisions. Position requires working at ground to high levels as well as the use of ladders to reach upper levels. Use of typical extension poles and HEPA vacuums. Operate commercial type vacuum cleaners and attachments for walls and high dusting. Position will perform daily routine cleaning in assigned areas following established policies and procedures; this could include specialty areas, such as, Operating Rooms, Cardiac Cath Labs, CICU, Emergency Rooms, etc. As time permits, position will also perform other duties as requested to support ongoing Facility operations.Minimum Education

Required Licenses and Certifications
Perform high and low dusting of equipment, fixtures, ledges, etc. using typical extension poles and HEPA vacuums. Operate commercial type vacuum cleaners and attachments.
Clean high/low level ceiling/wall vents, sprinkler heads, vertical and horizontal surfaces, partitions, walls, etc.
Dust screens and clean televisions.
Work at heights and climb ladders up to 30'.
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities daily through computer maintenance management software.
Will clean assigned areas following established policies and procedures; including specialty areas, such as, Operating Rooms, Cardiac Cath Labs, CICU, Emergency Rooms, etc.
Assist to perform work related to general hospital maintenance and cleanup of debris, construction materials, and landscape.
Identify and report possible repairs to rooms (laboratories, offices, rest rooms, furnishing and equipment, etc).
Complete assigned rounds through areas of responsibility to ensure areas are well maintained. Create work orders for any deficiencies. Notify Control Room or On-Call Manager of any safety hazards notes during rounds.
Respond to all emergencies and provide assistance as required to help restore the system back to operational status. Emergencies may include electrical outages, water leaks, fire alarms, odors and weather emergencies. Serve as a member of the Fire and Disaster Team.
Take the initiative to identify and report deficiencies in the physical plant of the hospital by submitting work orders through the work order system.
Diagnose and resolve trouble ticket/work orders thoroughly until completed.
Follow up with manager to communicate or request assistance in order to complete work orders.
Routinely utilize all safety measures and equipment as related to work orders and specific tasks.
Must observe and practice standard precautions and hospital established infectious control, safety regulations and procedures.
Communicate to requester steps for completion of work order and provide any follow up information.
At all times represent the Facilities staff in a professional and helpful manner.
Compile a list of materials to be ordered and submit to supervisor. Complete and update work orders daily for work completed each day.
Prepare requisitions for ERP.

Plan, layout and perform required bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed tools, dies, fixtures, cavity mold dies, gauges where a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of plastic mold tooling practice and metal tooling practice application is required. Work from complicated drawings, specifications or concepts. Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
Lay out work and plan machining and bench procedures. Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups which may involve improvising of tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range in capacities of available equipment. Sets up and operates a variety of CNC mills, CNC EDM's and related CAD equipment machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work. Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. May include responsibility for training an apprentice Tool and Die Maker or other tool room personnel on a project basis.
Will also operate related CAD/CAM equipment. Analyzes molded parts to determine tool repair and adjustments required with minimum supervision. Responsible for observing safe work habits and cleanliness of work area.
Proceeds under general supervision. Performs other duties as may be requested. Responsible for using standardized inspection methods and SPC as requested.

United Display Craft is looking to add a Sample Maker to its team in its Des Plaines, IL location. The Sample Maker must have good steel and plastic fabrication skills including use of brake presses, welding and finishing experience. Sample makers work closely with our engineering group to develop display concepts from renderings and drawings into fully functional prototypes. The ideal candidate would have some prior retail display experience, good communication skills and the ability to work with other team members in a fast paced environment.
Minimum 3 years of experience working as a model maker or in a similar industrial setting including machine setup, fixture maker, etc.

Work with engineers to produce tools, fixtures, and prototype components to specification using various machining equipment. Drawings, descriptions, and sample tooling may be used as a guide. Some design will be necessary.
Design tools and tooling: Jigs, fixtures, assembly machines, etc.
Manufacture tools using saws, CNC or manual lathes, CNC or manual mills and other metal cutting equipment.

Tool & Die Maker
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing dies and injection molds. We are currently hiring for 3rd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11pm to 7am.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
Read and understand blueprints and sketche
Reverse engineer broken parts and build replacement parts
Set-up and operate machine tools such as drill press, lathe, milling machine and surface grinder
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components
Examine, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on molds & dies
Ability to troubleshoot and repair hot runner and valve gate systems
Ability to prioritize issues working in a rapid paced environment
Completes workorders as assigned
Initiates and participates in continuous improvement through cost savings, gainsharing and kaizen or other related activities
Assure product is produced meeting all quality expectations
Follow all safety policies & procedures; including, but not limited to wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Other duties within department as assigned (including, but not limited to, training, access supporting business systems, cover for supervisor, etc.)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school or 2-3 years related experience and/or training or journeyman's papers.
Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must possess strong basic shop math skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Basic computer skills with internet experience
Strong mechanical aptitude/ability with working knowledge of stamping presses, press controls, dies and tooling, feeders, straighteners and other equipment pertaining to auto blanking
Knowledge of TPM methodologies and procedures
Knowledge of Lean Principles, QDC, 5S and Continuous Improvement Process
Knowledge of CAD CAM, Computer Aid Drafting, Computer Aid Machining
Relevant Work Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience in carpentry, general maintenance and equipment repair
Basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry

- Must pass and maintain current industrial lift truck certification and operate all equipment assigned to the department
