Mold Maintenance Technician
Under the direction of the Tool Room Manager, the Mold Maintenance Tech is responsible for evaluating, maintaining and repairing molds as well as extrusion tooling and punch dies. Complete all necessary mold conversions. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical/technical aptitude to get into a growing company with many opportunities.

A minimum of 1 year experience in a machine shop with the ability to read blue prints, operate a forklift, work independently, and lift/push/pull up to 75Lbs is required. Must have prior experience working with injection molding tools. The ability for daily and weekend overtime work required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties include mold set-up and adjustment on molding and assembly repairs, equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs, preventive maintenance, quality checks, material handling including filling and emptying machine hoppers, housekeeping and operator instructions.
Maintain equipment's proper operation to include verifying set-up parameters of process as well as condition of machine; periodically checking machine cycle time and yields are met, quality of parts and overall consistency of process.
Maintain set up sheets and production records for shift; completes necessary paperwork timely and accurately.
Recommend cost saving improvements, labor and ergonomic improvements.
Ensure comprehensive and complete communication with oncoming shift as it relates to production status, labor, quality, shipping, and maintenance.

Key Equipment and Tools Used
Crane, hand tools, hand and lift truck(s), scales, drying equipment, grinders, thermolators, pickers, hot runner system, screen feed system.
Understanding of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment operations and repair.

Kelly Engineering is looking for a mold technician for a contract position in NJ near the Philly area. This position will be Monday thru Friday day hours. Some overtime maybe available.
The right person needs to have plastic injection molding experience. RJG would be a plus but not required.
Technical role reporting to the Tooling Manager on all matters pertaining to PM schedules and repairs. Will be required to Repair and PM all actively running injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and machine custom components.
Routine maintenance of molds including daily cleaning and greasing. Disassembles, cleans, reassembles molds as needed
Works from detailed design drawings, engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions
Determines accurate and efficient methods to construct and repair molds
Selects proper metals and other material and lays out work using precision measuring instruments (such as venires, dial indicators, micrometers, etc), shop mathematics and pertinent formula.
Sets up and operates all types of tool room equipment to include: lathes, mills, grinders, heat treating, drill presses, etc.
Determines the sequences of operation, method of fabrication, type and amount of machine work or process operation required
Sample and qualify new molds. Work with Q.C. for best processing parameters.
Reassure quality of parts throughout production run. (Give support to operators in assessing part quality Work with Q.C. throughout first article inspections and capabilities studies)
Assist Process Technicians with Set up and trouble-shoot molds in Molding Department for production.
5+ years’ experience repairing, and maintaining multi-cavity injection molds
Experience in building and machining new mold components and checking for form, fit and function
Operational knowledge of all tool room equipment. Ability to weld is a definite plus+ Must have strong troubleshooting skills as it relates to molding defects observed in production.
Will need to have the ability to work independently demonstrating strong technical knowledge and good communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to maintain relationships with customers and co-workers.

High school diploma or GED. Supply your own tool set per Maintenance Required Tool list. 1 year experience performing routine scheduled Preventative Maintenance and lubrication, machine setups, product changeovers, running machine adjustments and tuning.
Must pass the Ramsay at a Production Tech II level. Ability to lift up to 65 pounds. Ability to read, write, speak and understand instructions given in English.
Ability to recognize material and product defects and hear machine operations sounds to detect jams, changes in speed and other routine running conditions and have a working knowledge of production machinery. Manual and finger dexterity. Ability to read and understand Equipment Operations manuals, basic electrical and mechanical drawings and to trouble-shoot basic automation control-related devices including but not limited to: photo and proximity sensors, switches, pneumatic valves.

Blow Mold Plastic Technician
A Warren Oil Co Plastic Technician is responsible for the blow molding process: efficient production, minor repairs, preventative maintenance and all required quality checks as specified in control plan.
Plastic Technician Duties:
Responsible for startup and shut down of machines as needed due to production scheduling, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Select and properly use basic hand tools, meters, values and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed
