Under the direction of the Clinical Specialist Clinical Coordinator or the Clinical Manager of the respective section the Senior Occupational Therapist will enhance their program or service through the provision of advanced clinical care knowledge of current research best practice staff support assistance with program operations and various administrative duties as assigned. Assists with the implementation and coordination of department programs which may include coordination and management of the student program and quality and safety programs. Assists with coordination of inpatient and/or outpatient operations as appropriate to ensure quality and timely service.
The position of Senior Therapist recognizes the therapist with advanced clinical skills and additional responsibilities beyond that of a Staff Therapist. The availability of Senior Therapist positions will reflect the needs or goals of the department.

Performs the clinical duties of a Staff Occupational Therapist as defined in the respective job descriptions.
Provides general resource and staff support for all clinical staff within their respective service or program. Support may include assisting with new staff orientation providing consultation second opinions and peer review to staff and students on a day-to-day basis.
Demonstrates expertise and teaches selected assessment tools and treatment techniques. Utilizes combinations of treatment activities or develops innovative approaches to treatment to enhance patient and family outcomes. Assumes primary liaison responsibility with ambulatory clinic(s) or specialty area.
Shares clinical knowledge with others. Provides input on Staff Therapists and/or support staff performance appraisals.
Provides operational support as determined by the Clinical Specialist Clinical Coordinator and/or Clinical Manager (beyond those of a Staff Therapist) within their specific program or service to enhance the operational efficiencies of that service. Support may include; maintaining supplies and equipment for specific service/program area; assisting in development of new programs or services; identifying system improvement needs and makes suggestions for improvements; implementing and monitoring program/service specific quality improvement efforts; participating in research/outcome measurement and assistance with program competency; assisting with ensuring staff competency and identifying a need for additional competencies; managing human and material resource costs in an effective manner.
Assists leadership in emergency situations. Uses unscheduled time to flex to other work area for patient care needs.
Provides clinical instruction by pairing student affiliation students with appropriate therapists and mentorship for the clinical student/Staff Therapist relationship. Cooordinates program or service specific learning opportunities including program rounding case reviews journal article reviews in-services and trainings. Complete professional organization clinical instructor training as appropriate.
Participates in National State and/or Local committees related to profession and/or specialty area. Participate in professional presentations/activities within the hospital and/or in the community.
Overall performance will be measured by Clinical Specialist Clinical Coordinator and or Clinical Manager based on goals established in annual Employee Performance Recognition Summary (EPRS).
Adheres to professional standards by actively participating in staff meetings seeking support and following the appropriate channels in solving complex communication conflicts. Graduate of an accredited institution and is licensed by the State of Rhode Island
Demonstrates via portfolio advanced competency beyond staff level which may include resume continuing education courses/CEUs presentations/educational activities publications research program development and awards/recognition. Maintains membership in a professional organization of their specialty area.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a licensed therapist with advanced clinical academic and professional currency in the specific therapy field and in specialty areas.

Provides consistent and thorough supervision to assistants aides therapists and volunteers including cosigning notes and reviewing patient treatment plans and goals. Assists team in prioritizing and planning daily treatment schedules and managing patient case load.

Senior Project Manager will support all physical plant construction, renovation, restoration, and major repair programs at any facility within the national health system. This position is knowledgeable in building systems and construction methods specifically in a health care environment.
This position develops concepts and plans for facility growth or change in service as well as capital upkeep and replacement. The key role of this position is advisor to each individual facility managing director to assist in growth planning and implementation, as it relates to buildings and facility campus. This position has responsibility to oversee other Assistant PM and Regional PM as assigned to provide guidance on project decisions and regulatory interface.
A Mentoring relationship will be required. Essential Job Duties Work closely with RVP, C-suite, RFM/DPO, FF&E and IT in the development of project scope and price. Differentiates between priority business needs and "nice-to-have?s" in order to assist in determining project priority and to resolve resource conflicts.
Works closely with user groups to learn all aspects of user requirements in order to provide effective advice and recommendation. Ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule and that the projects incorporate the latest Behavioral Health/Acute best practices. Have the ability to manage multiple, large projects at one time with some supervision.
Develop/engage project teams using a competitive RFP process. Assist in guiding project through local, State and Federal building restrictions and code compliance. Accurate budgeting, scheduling, logistics, ICRA, ILSM from conception through completion.
Follow the CAR/PAC process for pre-validation, validation and request for full funding. Take a leadership role in finding new methods/approaches to help execute work faster and more efficiently. Challenge assumptions and bring new ideas to the table that could benefit the entire department in executing our role.
Maintain a vendor ranking and ensure we reinforce success by re-engaging firms that perform excellent work and value the relationships in the system. Collecting historical cost and schedule data to utilize in predicting future cost and time to execute projects (send to corporate at projection completion). Ensure all parties on the project have executed a contract and have provided all the required insurances prior to commencing work. Ensure the highest ethical standards when dealing with our vendors.
Ensure vendors compliant with the terms of the agreement and that the business terms agreed are fair to both the vendor. Use business term guidelines.
