The Husqvarna EDGE tooling department has been equipped with state of the art machinery and you will be responsible for ensuring effective usage. Tasks like ordering raw material and keeping track of stock levels, preparing and programming machines, measuring and assuring that quality standards are met, are all part of your daily activities. You will be involved in developing our production methods in order to continuously improve our spare part manufacturing process, as well as carrying out tool maintenance on a regular basis. The main focus for you and your team is making sure that quality expectations are met and to continuously improve our processes. The progress of your work will be measured and followed up by clearly defined KPI's.
The person we are looking for should have a technically oriented education or similar level of knowledge obtained through years of working experience. The position requires knowledge in preparing and programming CNC machines. We are also looking for following characteristics and qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in milling (5 and 3 axis milling), EDM and grinding.
Understanding the characteristics of different steel grades and its implications on constructing tools.
Being able to fully understand a technical drawing (knowledge in CAD is a merit).
Interpreting and putting process parameters in relation to machine output.
Experience in measuring and carrying out quality checks.
A team player with the ability to work towards common goals in improving the department.
A strong ability to manage day to day activities and put priority on the right duties in order to achieve and overall effectiveness.

The Straight Edge Bander Operator is responsible for the set-up and overall operation of the Straight Edge Bander and the quality of the work produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Pull paperwork and order correct parts, select proper band and key in length and height specifications accord to job.
Verify glue levels and that temperature is ideal for application
Load parts into machine. When parts return, either offload or turn part for next banding operation
Verify trim has a good edge, and adjust specs accordingly
Run a single part to check for accuracy before running complete shop order
Frequently complete quality checks, making sure that there are no cosmetic errors
Process parts and off bear to proper container
Complete proper ID tags with shop order number, part number, quantity and operation number
Adjust bander height and length for next order
Must be able to maintain the required adjusted average efficiency
Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/department
Maintains assigned work areas in a clean and orderly fashion
Responsible for housekeeping around the machine area
Performs other duties, as assigned

Examples Of Duties:Olympia Operator ($10 - $14 hourly) - Operate Olympia Ice Resurfacer, maintains safe ice surface, Sharpens and repairs rental and Customer skates and equipment, performs additional maintenance and custodial duties as needed
