The Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world class quality. Ability to work 12 hour rotating shift
Troubleshoot equipment to resolve issues on machine

The environment is hot, humid and loud. There are slipping, tripping and falling hazards, as well as in running nips and suspended loads. Compressed air, steam, lubrication oil and hydraulic fluid will be used in the paper machine area. Travel for this position is minimal, but may be occasionally required. Overtime is required to complete critical tasks and meet deadlines.

The Husqvarna EDGE tooling department has been equipped with state of the art machinery and you will be responsible for ensuring effective usage. The person we are looking for should have a technically oriented education or similar level of knowledge obtained through years of working experience. The position requires knowledge in preparing and programming CNC machines. We are also looking for following characteristics and qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in milling (5 and 3 axis milling), EDM and grinding.
Understanding the characteristics of different steel grades and its implications on constructing tools.
Being able to fully understand a technical drawing (knowledge in CAD is a merit).
Interpreting and putting process parameters in relation to machine output.
Experience in measuring and carrying out quality checks.
A team player with the ability to work towards common goals in improving the department.
A strong ability to manage day to day activities and put priority on the right duties in order to achieve and overall effectiveness.

The Gluer Operator makes ready gluer based on carton size and style and completes production run for maximum quality and efficiency. The Gluer Operator is accountable for all aspects of gluer performance; will lead, give directions to and monitor work of their machine crew. This position reports directly to the Finishing Manager.
Performs line clearance according to established QOP.
Reviews job order to determine specifications and/or special instructions for job and examines approved sample to determine gluing areas, folding areas and pre-breaks required to produce carton.
Sets and makes adjustments to gluer to achieve specifications.
Makes determination as to amount of cartons to pack in case so as to provide consistent case counts.
Examines glue pot and if necessary, clean; check level of glue in glue pot on all gluers and in drum for extrusion.
Sets barcode scanner; challenges barcode scanner to ensure proper function.
Sets glue scanner; challenges glue scanner to ensure proper function.
Throughout production run, perform checks to ensure cartons are folding properly and glue application is consistent and accurate. Monitors identification bars on multiple order jobs to prevent mixed items.
Ensures any non-conforming materials are identified.
Sets up and runs Label-Aire equipment for jobs that require tags or labels.
Assists in the repair and preventative maintenance of gluers.
Responsible for flatpacking process.
Performs other duties assigned by Finishing Manager.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures and instructions.
Performs all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPEs to perform duties.
This position will help keep department in specs within all 5S and SQF guidelines, and immediately report any food safety concerns to management.

Remove roll of leftover paper from press after automatic splicing.
May operate mechanical truck to transport rolls of paper to press area.
