We are currently looking for a Precision Grinder Temporary Night Shift to join our team!
With minimum supervision operates one or more of the following precision grinding machines to grind internal and/or external surfaces of metal objects to specified dimensions and finish: center-less, cylindrical, external, internal, surface, drill, broach, saw, gear, cutter and thread grinders. Requires ability to select and use all types of grinding machines. Abrasive wheels, holding fixtures, gages, micrometers, etc. Four place tolerances may be specified.

Od/Id Surface Grinder
Inspects parts before grinding to check for chips and cracks. Must verify the dimensions of the work piece to match with the dimensions on the blue prints.
Must be able to inspect blueprints for inconsistencies. Must be able to set up and operate manual surface grinding equipment. Must be capable of operating CNC surface grinding equipment and have the capability of fully understanding CNC operations.
Must be able to fixture and design methods of manufacturing complex part. Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member to obtain desired results. Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to understand and perform to job-related quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required. Must possess knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes. Education qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an apprenticeship program or possess equivalent experience.

CNC Machinist - ID Grinder
Wissota Tool, a worldwide leader in tooling technology for the can industry, is growing and has immediate opening for CNC Machinists at its Chippewa Falls, WI facility.
This 2nd and 3rd shift positions primarily involve programming, set-up, and operating CNC equipment. Wages range from $17.00 to $24.00 plus 10% shift pay, depending on experience.
Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 if you choose to work 3rd shift.

Today, ECG has eight facilities in four different states. We are currently seeking a full-time Grinder for our facility in Joliet, IL. This non-exempt position will require overtime, weekends, rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.

RESPONSIBLITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Perform all work in line with safety rules
Set-up and operate one or more grinding machines on a production basis for the purpose of grinding the surface of manufacturing parts to specification
Set-up equipment according to specifications on product blueprint, with little or no supervision
Start and stop machinery
Verify conformance of work to specification using preset gauges and micrometers
Replace and dress with grinding wheels
Adjust controls in order to vary the dept. of cut, grinding speed and rate of feed
Accurate and timely reporting of all production and quality related data and records
Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping responsibilities for the equipment and work area
Maintain an accurate count of production pieces
Support all productivity and process related goals
Perform other duties as assigned
Under limited supervision, maintain the high standards associated with Oberg Industries and produce accurate high-quality components by inspecting parts before grinding to check for chips or cracks, verify the dimensions of the work piece to match with the dimensions on the blueprints, inspect parts that are received from other departments, offer input on how to improve the operations, record how much time is spent on each job, inspect blue prints for inconsistencies as well as set-up and operate manual surface grinding equipment. Must be able to fixture and design methods of manufacturing complex parts and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Physical demands of the job include working in a standing, sitting, or bent position for 10 hours/day and must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds with control, and be able to work near moving mechanical parts that create a moderately high noise level. The successful candidate must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member, be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, be able to understand and perform to job-related standards, methods, and usage of inspection devices, read and understand blueprints, be able to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems, possess knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, and be able to communicate through written and verbal means. The CNC Jig Grinder will setup and operate a computer controlled machine to perform one or more machine functions on metal work pieces that remove excess materials or burrs from surfaces, sharpened edges or corners.
