ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (some specific tasks and duties for getting the job done):
Set up, operate, and adjust machines and auxiliary equipment.
Supply machines with resins and with packing supplies from satellite areas.
Make roll changes, take samples, label and pack product, and stretchwrap finished loads.
Conduct certain quality tests and monitor product to ensure conformance to spec.
Make inventory transactions. Restock unused resins.
Move waste and recycle loads to specified area, so Production Suppliers can pick up.
Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Demonstrated extrusion machine competencies or ability to demonstrate them within prescribed training timeframe.
Ability to use computer keyboard, mouse, and printer for entering and documenting production settings and data.

Machine Helpers are expected to effectively assist in running corrugating or finishing machines to achieve plant goals, including working safely, maintaining/improving productivity according to established methods and goals

Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.

4.Understanding the 5 different faults that require clearing and resetting the AISA 240
5.Clearing a door fault
6.Clear jams and start/ stop auto packer as required
7.Proper understanding of referencing or sequencing the AISA
8.Clearly understand all of the safety procedures for safe operation of equipment
9.Proper identification of tube defects
Assist in investigation of any Quality complaints
Follow appropriate line clearance procedures
Accurately set and adjust the machine in accordance with designated parameters

Assist in line preps as per prep team instruction

This is an individual contributor role working on the manufacturing floor to aid machine assembly mechanics and electricians efficiently build machine tools. Successful candidates for this role must be self-directed with the ability to recognize, prioritize, and drive to resolution tactical issues which may impact the progress of machine builds. Daily activities include basic material movement, verification of transactions with the SAP ERP system, and following up with production control, supply chain, quality and engineering personnel to remove roadblocks from assembly execution.
Movement of non-conforming material from production bays to non-conforming material location by hand-carry and/or pallet jack.
Movement of production material from production bays to outgoing area(s), ensuring accuracy of documentation and facilitate communication with material handlers.
Collection, organization, and identification of machine assembly and qualification tooling/fixturing from production bays (point of use) to storage location. Ensure accuracy of check-in/check-out data and maintain '5-S' state of fixturing.
Movement of unused material ("MRS") from production bays to centralized MRS location, performing MRS disposition according to established criteria, executing SAP inventory transactions as needed, and provide material.
Job tasks may, at times, be highly repetitive and tactical in nature – requiring the ability to maintain focus and productivity throughout the shift.

Visionworks is currently has an opening for a top notch individual to office in our manufacturing location for the position of Edger Tech . The Tech ensures that the frame matches tray work order. Verifies proper edging parameters and shape. Edges lenses down to the proper size using a computerized roughing/milling machine (edger). Performs support functions within the edging area to include basic upkeep of the area.
Prioritize tray processing flow as dictated by tray color/priority sticker.
Select appropriate job number for processing.
Ability to properly turn on main power, initialize edger startups, perform reboots and recovers from edger/robot errors.
Validate shape display to job in process.
Edge lenses to correct size, bevel location and applies a safety bevel and mount lenses into frame.
Accurately place an appropriate cosmetically acceptable pin bevel on lens.
Accurately place the grove for various lens designs, determine proper blade depth and utilize V-bevel to adjust size or shape of a lens.
Properly identify if slippage has occurred during the edging process.
Test and validate axis, size and bevel placement.
Validate operation, clean lens feelers, adjust sizing, bevel placement and safety bevel.
Perform probe calibration.
Ability to communicate and escalate with peers and principles.
Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), as well as regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment.
