Generator / Industrial Engine Field Mechanic
One (1) qualified Field Mechanic to work out of the Erie facility in the Industrial Engine Division.
The essential functions of this position include the following: independently and successfully diagnose and repair prime power and stand-by electrical power installations; understand and have a working knowledge of automatic start and stop controls, safety shut-downs, circuit breakers, and control panel wiring; independently and successfully diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel, and gas engines; perform work in various environmental and working conditions; provide support for the oil and gas industry and to service natural gas and diesel products for our customers. This support includes all relevant rental equipment including gen sets, air compressors, heaters, etc. Marine engines also fall into the Industrial Engine category. Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders; and maintain tool requirements. After hours and overnight assignments are often required to satisfy customer demands and repair time schedules. The successful bidder will be required to work overtime as required, including weekends. Emergency "On Call" duty will also be required.
The successful candidate will report to the Erie Shop or be dispatched from home when appropriate. When Industrial field service work as identified above is available, the Mechanic will be dispatched to perform that work. When there is no field work, the successful candidate will work in the shop facility for the balance or duration of the shift.
This position requires a commercial driver's license. The successful candidate will be required to pass a drivers' physical and all applicable tests associated with driving a service truck. To be placed in this position, the successful candidate must complete necessary paperwork required for the Company to process a Motor Vehicle Record check and Driver Qualification File, and must have a driving record acceptable to the Company. Meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law; and all applicable tests associated with driving a service truck. Work regular overtime as required; and maintain good customer relations.

Generator Specialist Field Engineer
This role will be largely providing on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for their Turbine Generator Systems. The primary responsibility of the Generator Specialist Technical Field Advisor (TFA), is to safely accomplish the maintenance and repair of the heavy duty generators used in power generation applications. Generator Specialists are responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents, P&ID's, troubleshooting of plant systems, outage planning; as well as directing labor, tools and materials to complete work scopes according to contractual requirements.
Lead execution of projects, including: visual test and inspections, electrical test and inspections, field and stator rewinds, and other general repairs
Perform inspection and testing of the generator field and stator utilizing the latest technology. (MAGIC Jr. & Sr. inspection, Digital/Analog EL-CID, Flush and Bake skid (FAB), Quick skid, Capacitance Mapping, Tracer Gas, Vacuum Decay, Pressure Decay, 60 Hertz AC HIPOT test set, Wedge Tapping, Computer Based Reporting tool), Epoxy Injection, UT Flow, Hazmat training and other topics as business needs arise
Responsible for directing craft labor and winders during repairs and Inspections
Sign off on procedure, quality, and inspection documentation
Pre-outage planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and procedures
Recognize, Predict and document potential generator failures.
Present to the customer accurate generator quality issues as presented and selected by Generator Product Service and regional generator specialists.
Perform other duties as assigned

Electric Power Systems Engineer
Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking Electric Power Systems Engineers to contribute to the design and development of next generation electric and hybrid-electric power systems for manned and unmanned aerial vehicles including efficient high performance vertical take-off and landing aircraft, high-altitude UAVs and long-endurance UAVs to name a few.
As part of a highly collaborative environment you will work independently and on a multi-disciplinary team. As such, candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the desire to take on new tasks and develop new skills.
Candidates must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder).
Engineering Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or a Relevant Discipline
Entry Level: B.S. and preferably an M.S.
Experienced Level: B.S. and preferably an M.S.
Senior Level: M.S. and preferably a Ph.D.
Experience Requirements (an advanced degree may qualify for years of experience):
Entry Level: Recent Graduate to 3 Years of Relevant Industry Experience
Experienced Level: 3 (+) Years of Relevant Industry Experience
Senior Level: 8 (+) Years of Relevant Industry Experience
Interests, Working Knowledge and Backgrounds Normally Include a Mix of:
Electrical engineering with a background in electro-mechanical machinery, power electronics, power distribution, and/or controls.
Propulsion system design, analysis, integration and testing of advanced synchronous and asynchronous components including motors, generators, power control electronics, conductors, and energy storage devices.
Familiarity with advanced electric propulsion system components:
High torque density motors
High performance energy storage devices
High voltage distribution harnesses and interconnects
Knowledge of system chain of
Electric Energy Storage
Engineering Industry Background May Include:
Analytical research and product development
Automotive or locomotive electric propulsion
Aerospace and aircraft propulsion
