Electric Cable And Wire Assembler
JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidates will be working with high voltage panels; they will be assembling, wiring and testing. The product they will be building is a modular UPS (uninterrupted power supply) system. It is used to filter electrical current so that a company can have an interrupted flow of data.
-1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
-The work is of a repetitive nature and so the assembler must be able to continue doing the same work for long hours without making mistakes
- Small parts need to be assembled
- Daily target must be met
- Teamwork is also important in this line
- Have experience and knowledge in high power. Need to be strong in assembly and high power testing
- Should be very good in assembly, mainly assembly panel building; will be assembling, wiring and testing
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
-Must be able to stand for long period of time
- Must have computer skills. Will be using a laptop to record data
-Must be able to use screwdrivers, pliers, and special tools to position and hold parts during assembly
-Good eye-hand co-ordination is also required
-Must be able to speak and understand English

THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT SHIFT POSITION Provides leadership to ensure the safe, timely and efficient completion of work efforts relating to the construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of the electric distribution and transmission systems. Ensures effective coordination among and between individuals and departments in the district/division. Actively promotes and enforces a safety-first work environment and positive safety culture. Engages and motivates employees to deliver the best possible customer experience. At the Senior Supervisor level, in addition to the above, responsibilities include:
Serving as the local technical lead or coach for other supervisors + Developing and coaching other supervisors in various aspects of their role + Authorizing re-allocation of resources in situations where conflicting priorities exist + Driving innovation and change in business processes + Leading area work center activities during manager absence + Representing their manager at department, customer, and community meetings 2. Supports the scheduler in producing an accurate schedule encompassing all work to be performed in the areas within the planning window.
Works closely with the Outside Supervisors to address emergent issues and customer priority jobs.
Prepares weekly/monthly status reports highlighting the key performance metrics for the district.

Must have a strong knowledge of computers and related technology and have the ability to learn and utilize available information technologies. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience required Experience: Five years of related experience is required. Previous experience in electric distribution is preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory role is also preferred. Licenses & Certification: Valid Motor Vehicle License required. D.O.T. Driver’s License preferred
Working Conditions: Work is conducted outside, in varied conditions and terrain including adverse weather conditions, and in a normal office environment which requires sitting, walking, standing, stair climbing and completion of paperwork. Drives to various job site locations and customer premises to supervise work, and review or discuss construction job requirements. May work with computers for long periods of time during the day. Subject to shift work including weekends. Off-hour on-call responsibility is required on a rotational basis. At times requires working long hours in response to outage situations and shift coverage requirements.
Mental Aspects: Must be able to manage multiple activities simultaneously to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Requires being able to effectively relate to customers and the general public under stressful circumstances and for prolonged periods.
