SUMMARY: This classification requires the complete assembly, installation and test of hoists, parts and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties. Duties will include assignment as needed in the electric, manual, and paint classification in the assembly department as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together.
Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
Sub-assemblies will include, but not be limited to:transmissions, brakes, panel plates, and final assemblies.
Works from blueprints, production illustrations, process sheets, production test procedures, written and oral instructions where assembly methods and procedures are established.
This classification also requires team members to rotate into all areas of classification on a regular basis.
Transports specified parts from storage to work area manually or by using overhead crane.
Brushes lubricant on moving parts and fits parts together on bench, following blueprints.
Inserts shims between parts to realign or level parts and verifies alignment and clearance of parts with micrometers, scale, and gauges.
Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
Operates hydraulic press to force bearings into sleeves and flatten rivets.
Connects electric wires to terminals of subassembly.
Get work order, transmission assembly parts, assemble transmission, load transmission into fixture, and assemble motor.
Build up hoist sub-assemblers, brakes, limit switch, PB station, Power cord and assemble to hoist
Move hoist to test station perform high pot test, install chain, chain stop components, get lower switch, get high limit switch, position hoist for load test
Perform load test, connect to station tester and complete station test, scan workorder and input clock number / labor reporting.Stat to pair hoist
Make foams for packaging pack hoist, places box on pallet, scan work orders and completes make transaction.

Position Summary and Qualifications
Complex, professional supervisory engineering and administrative work directing and supervising the Fort Pierce Utilities Electric Engineering Department. Report to the Director of Electric & Gas Systems.
(NOTE: There are also secondary functions, which the employee will be required to perform.)
Supervises and directs all activities of the Electric and Gas Engineering Department: in engineering studies pertaining to the electrical and gas system and determines the feasibility and basic features of design of major engineering undertakings. Approves the plans, designs and specifications for system improvement work on the distribution, transmission, substations, power generation, SCADA, fiber optic communication, and gas distribution systems. Prepare administrative and technical reports. Directs the department in the following specific items:

Registration as a professional engineer in the state of Florida or ability to achieve same within six months of employment. Ability to complete FPUA Gas Distribution training within 1 year of employment.

- Inside Supervisor:
Responsible for continuously monitoring the work planning process from initiation to close out for department work performed.
Serve as primary construction liaison with the Customer Care, Engineering, Warehousing/Transportation, and Stations Operations organizations in addition to external stakeholders such as municipalities and other utilities.
Ensures that all job packages are construction ready and that the material availability is adequate to meet the construction schedule.
Coordinates external agencies (ie – Telco) and internal support to ensure that critical path is maintained on all large projects.
Supports the scheduler in producing an accurate schedule encompassing all work to be performed in the areas within the planning window.
Works closely with the Outside Supervisors to address emergent issues and customer priority jobs.
Prepares weekly/monthly status reports highlighting the key performance metrics for the district.
Fulfills storm duty assignments and participates in on-call rotation as required.
Working knowledge of methods, work practices, and procedures regarding the safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric T&D facilities and infrastructure at both secondary and primary operating voltages.
Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Must maintain switching and tagging qualifications
Must have a strong knowledge of computers and related technology and have the ability to learn and utilize available information technologies.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience required
Experience: Five years of related experience is required. Previous experience in electric distribution is preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory role is also preferred.
Licenses & Certification: Valid Motor Vehicle License required. D.O.T. Driver's License preferred
Work is conducted outside, in varied conditions and terrain including adverse weather conditions, and in a normal office environment which requires sitting, walking, standing, stair climbing and completion of paperwork. Drives to various job site locations and customer premises to supervise work, and review or discuss construction job requirements. May work with computers for long periods of time during the day. Subject to shift work including weekends. Off-hour on-call responsibility is required on a rotational basis. At times requires working long hours in response to outage situations and shift coverage requirements.
Must be able to manage multiple activities simultaneously to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Requires being able to effectively relate to customers and the general public under stressful circumstances and for prolonged periods. Must be able to clearly articulate job and safety related information to employees and to effectively address performance issues in a constructive manner. Requires being able to respond to problem situations in a timely manner at all hours of the day or night.
