The Electrical Assembler assembles, wires, or rebuilds precise sub-assemblies and machines from engineering drawings for advance welding systems. Reworks, repairs, and replaces damaged parts or assemblies

This position reports to the Operations Supervisor. Under close supervision the Electrical/Electronic Assembler locates, interprets and follows engineering drawings and specifications to assemble and inspect electrical controls, printed circuit boards, wire cabinet systems and/or electronic controller assemblies.
Conducts continuity tests and automated test functions of electrical assemblies and components. May test production modules and/or systems following written procedures.
Participates in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assembles chassis at intermediate level, including but not limited to PC boards, hardware, wiring and labels.
Assembles connector assemblies, cables and wiring harnesses.
Completes documentation as required by written procedure.
Conducts on the job training of others.
- May require international/domestic travel.
Electronics Assembler Only
Applies staking, epoxies, and other potting materials
Inspects board assemblies for assembly errors and solder defects at an intermediate level.
Prepares components to be loaded into circuit boards and electrical assemblies by bending and lead forming.
Adds and solders components (through hole and/or surface mounts) to printed circuit boards.
Applies and inspects conformal coating on printed circuit board assemblies.
Electrical Assembler Only
- Cabinet fabrication including wiring of control panels or controls at an intermediate level.
Solid knowledge and demonstrated ability follow engineering drawings and specifications to assemble and inspect electrical controls, printed circuit boards, wire cabinet systems and/ or electronic controller assemblies.
Demonstrates solid computer skills. Knowledge of navigation and use of the ERP system for modules relevant to area of responsibility.
Solid knowledge of and ability to communicate technical information to individuals.
The ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team.
Solid knowledge and demonstrated ability to read, interpret and use the information presented in drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering instructions to determine appropriate activities, tools and next steps in the production process as required. Ability to follow work instructions.

Education or Formal Training
US: High school diploma or equivalent
Poland: Upper-secondary school with electro-mechanical specialization (or without relevant degree at least 5 years of professional experience in related field)
Germany: Associate degree (or without relevant degree at least 5 years of professional experience in related field)
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an electrical/ electronics manufacturing or equivalent environment.
Materials and Equipment Used
Hand tools, power tools, and automatic equipment, including but not limited to wire cutters, pliers, power screwdrivers and crimping equipment.
Different materials and equipment depending on the different safety regulations in each country which have to be followed (e.g. safety glasses with side shields, anti-static smocks and wrist straps or heel straps...)
May require the use of forklifts and cranes. Lockout/tag-out training may be required. Appropriate certification in the US or on the job training globally is required if operating a crane or forklift.
Electronic assembly equipment including but not limited to Surface Mount pick and place, reflow ovens, wave solder, conformal coat and test equipment.
Working Environment/ Physical Activities
Strength requires lifting of up to 40 pounds or 19 kg.
Physical Environment requires bending, standing, sitting, all of which vary in duration.
Miscellaneous repetitive motion.

Electrical Assembly is responsible for assembly operations including wire harness assembly, soldering, box build, and electrical accessory assembly according to customer specifications and to meet a high level of quality standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components into subassemblies and finished goods by performing specialized work steps in order to meet customer driven requirements.
The effective use of a variety of specialized hand tools to complete assembly as instructed.
