Under the direction of production management, this position works to perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate a production machine.

Check ink viscosity and fill in specified intervals to ensure print quality.
Place the proper pieces of boxes together, using filament tape, before pushing the completed carton out to the warehouse operator.
Using department guidelines, load all barrier/TBG rolls onto unwind stand.

This worker operates an aseptic cup-filling machine and pasteurizing equipment. The worker must keep the machine supplied with the raw ingredients and packaging materials needed to produce product. Cleaning and sterilizing of the filling machine is required as well as all other processing equipment (Surge tanks and UHT). Operates a variety of automated equipment to complete finished goods, conduct tests, prepare parts for powder coating, and package the parts. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Operates and tends all types of production machines such as several different types of punch presses and feed systems, 4 slide machines, cut-off saws, deburring machines, drill presses and lathes to produce production parts of various metals to include steel, aluminum copper and other resistive materials, as well as some non-metallic materials
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Receives work assignments in the form of blueprint, technical specification, sketch or drawing from Supervisor / Production Coordinator as to type of parts that are to be produced. May consult with Supervisor / Coordinator regarding completeness of the specifications, prints, or sketches and to set up proper tooling, stock feeders, or whatever required for proper machine to produce part.
Set-up stamping line per specifications and ensure all raw materials are present and correct. When appropriate advise die makers of the set-up required for the product you will be running. This may involve the use of any or all the equipment described above.
At completion of set-up, run an appropriate sample and ensure inspection is performed as required by the appropriate specification. Run products as assigned. Operate manual feed presses and/or RH lines if assigned per appropriate specification
Loads coil stock material onto de-reeler and starts coil stock into dies at proper place as to insure proper tool care
Loads material onto stock feeder reel. When lead frame parts are made, and parts are put onto take-up reels with interleave paper.
Ensure all finished stock is properly packaged labeled and ultimately packaged and ready to send to your customer, after Quality acceptance
Qualified operator and collateral inspector, if assigned to lead-frame production lines.
Disperses material from stock as required.
Maintains continuous visual inspection for imperfect parts and intermittently makes inspections of parts using micrometer, calipers, or inspection gauges. Ensures all materials and tools are used effectively.
Provides and maintains scrap control.
Identifies to Supervisor or Lead-person any specification, equipment, or material shortcomings.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.

A familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment, and processes, normally obtained in working at least 3 months to 1 year in a similar work situation.
Skills / Certifications
Must be able to accurately identify different types of raw materials. Must also be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator.
Must be able to handle and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds as well as manipulate a wide size and weight range of metal stock and related materials. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and remain on feet for most of the workday.
Safety Glasses and Hearing protection are required throughout the shop. Depending on you assignment you may also be required to use appropriate gloves for material handling and appropriate protective clothing if working in the tumbling area or assisting in the Mold Compound room. If assisting in the mold compound room you must be able to wear a respirator and be respirator trained.
Works in a busy pressroom environment, subject at times to noise, vibration, sharp work materials and tools, and moving equipment and machinery. May work under conditions of varying lighting levels and in restrictive workspaces.
