- Electrical is responsible for the preparation, support, troubleshooting and basic operation of testing equipment. This includes supporting equipment calibration, instrumentation, and measurement equipment with installation, set up, troubleshooting, monitoring and tracking. The incumbent must be able to use a computer to monitor measurement equipment, prepare reports, analyze or sort data, monitor appointments / meetings, and communicate using e-mail.
Performs electrical, measurement, mechanical, and related support for Test Benches and test related equipment, as required by Engineering, internal and external customers.
Responsible for using instrumentation transducers (i.e. accelerometers, displacement transducers, pressure transducers, data recorders, speed pick-ups, thermocouples, and microphones) and measurement equipment (i.e. computer, software, amplifiers, data acquisition systems) to complete assigned work.
Visually inspects, troubleshoots and tests electrical systems or equipment, using an oscilloscope, voltmeter, ammeter, or other equipment to determine faults.
Fabricates and installs prototypes (wiring harnesses or other equipment) and tests their operation.
Performs Testing on Bench Electrical Systems and is knowledgeable of hardware and software interaction (ontactors, relays, multiple voltage Systems)
Operation of Test benches for standard programs (Spin Box, HCU, Zwick, etc…) and troubleshooting.
Responsible for Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance of Test Benches (Electrical/Mechanical)
Instrumentation and measurement systems support.
Servicing and troubleshooting of electrically integrated vehicle systems (MHEV, HEV, PHEV, etc) and components (confirmation of safe conditions)
Supports and coordinates Test bench and Equipment Calibration
Supports and develops processes that improve quality and engineering processes.
Develops and manages electrical measurement guidelines that improve testing and engineering processes.
Participates in continuous improvement programs supporting team efforts.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
Ensures departmental compliance with all ZF, environmental, safety, and TS16949 policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

2-5+ years of experience in electrical or related field.

An equipment engineer designs, enhances and maintains various electrical, computer or mechanical devices. Specifically this position will focus on the electrical and electromechanical areas of existing equipment and lead the design of new equipment. This equipment can range from wire saws, EDM, cleaning equipment, inspection, and robotic systems.

Eaton's Electrical Division is seeking an Electrical Tester I to join our first shift team. This position will be based at our Fayetteville, NC facility.
The Electrical Tester I will prepare apparatus for test and inspections in accordance with procedures and test specifications. Move apparatus to and from test and position as required. The Tester will be responsible for working from oral and/or written instructions from supervisors and/or prints, diagrams and manufacturing information sheets. Perform electrical sequence tests, according to the specifications, diagram or schematic, as required. Entry-Level Aux Equipment Electrical Engineer
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required in a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S.
Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Entry Level Auxiliary Systems Electrical Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Participates in electrical requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g. timing, power, etc.), design, integration and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems Applies principles and techniques of Electrical EngineeringPerforms electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues, conducts experimental tests, evaluates results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
Participates in internal electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment and systems
Evaluates vendor capability to support product development
Applies a basic understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes used throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the electrical development life cycle
Participates in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of requirements
Generally works within an identified work group
Generally has some contact with project leaders Generally works on problems of limited scope under frequent detailed supervision KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Working knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories Working knowledge of electrical engineering processes
Use of electrical engineering CAD tools
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge in electrical engineering design tools
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design
Ability to work well in a team environment
Travel may be required
Security clearance may be required

Delta Star, Inc. a manufacturer of medium power transformers in San Carlos, California has an immediate need for a Test Technician with ability to read electrical and electronic schematics.
Performs tests on power transformers, identifies and solves problems with minimum supervision. Ability to interact with other departments. Performs (but not limited to) impulse testing, heat run testing and final functional control schematic tests.
Recognize and complete all Quality Documents. Work from test specifications, drawings and wiring schematics.
Basic knowledge of electrical theory and circuit troubleshooting skills.
Transformer diagnostics instruments and measuring system.
Documentation, training and Leadership
Recognize and complete all Quality Control Documents.
Perform control functional tests of basic control circuitry of the transformer.
Perform basic transformer testes including ratio, insulation resistance (megger), insulation dissipation factor, phase relationship, bushing power factor, 10kV excitation , CT ration and polarity, Oil hipot.
Under the supervision of higher level technician make all the connections for and conduct the following transformer tests: Impulse HIpot, induced with RIV/PD measurement, load and no load, zero phase sequence impedance, heat-run, sound level, preventative auto.
Assist higher level technicians.
Quality control and Inspection
Perform all inspection processes.
Detect and report to supervisor faulty materiel, equipment, documentation, or any unusual conditions.
Participate in all quality improvements activities.
This is not an IT Technician position.
This is a union position classified as Tester B.
