This position will support our North area of operation and the successful candidate must live within 50 miles of this area.
Essential Job Duties:
Mentor and Train less experienced Electrical Power Line Technicians
Review Electrical Power equipment data ( Motor and transformer efficiency's, Power consumption from Sub stations, line capacities)
Provide input on standard power electrical equipment design and standard data format for modeling
Validate electrical system data
Work with development engineers on design of electrical power equipment for line and substation projects
Review and provide economical electrical power projects
Perform electrical equipment PMs
Communicate project economics, status and planning with stakeholders
Participate in PHA for new projects that require electrical work
Review all BoD for new projects
Manage and commission electrical distribution projects
Evaluate possible long lead items for demand planning
Evaluate system condition for predictive maintenance program
Review Periodic data with electrical team to compile a list of opportunities
Provide assistance in troubleshooting power line and substation issues
Provide technical support for Electrical Facilities Technicians
Participate in the development of electrical power equipment and installation standards
Oversee and/or participate in energized work
Respond and provide support on all electrical systems during power outages and / or otherwise assigned
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions, both inside and outside (below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour) and extreme hot heat (temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour); and exposed to loud noises, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions and oils.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in Electric Distribution Maintenance and repair with 5 years being preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of electrical safety requirements as found in publications such as NFPA 70E

Product Line Manager - Electrical Systems And Services- Switchgear Division
As the Product Line Manager, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of the product line strategic plan, including new product development projects and marketing programs to obtain growth in orders, sales, and profit of assigned products. In this role you will plan, manage, and oversee the formulation of all short-term and long-term objectives and business plans for switchgear products, including meeting sales, market share, price realization, profitability, and product quality metrics; leading the new product development process and program management function; lead engineering functions to support the manufacturing processes of the company; manage product line resources responsible for negotiations, customer order engineering, sales support, and product management. The Instrument/Electrical (IE) Supervisor is responsible for leading the electrical team members, including J3 Instrument Electricians, J1 Electricians, and Electrical Associates. Cable Technician/ Splicer
The position of Coax Splicer main responsibility is that of day to day interaction with Communication Coax Cable Strand and its connection and repair from one or more lines and or junctions.
In addition this role will need specialty knowledge of testing and tuning equipment, processes and procedures for balancing and tuning as well as the ability to trouble shoot a RF service line and if needed also be able to repair or splice in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project
- Receive drawings and verbal communication and perform all tasks assigned in a timely and professional manner with minimum supervision. Obtain all materials and tools needed for job completion.
- Place and install required coax cable when necessary to complete assignment.
- Install all passive and active devices, pedestals, vaults or Coax splice cases required to house CATV/phone equipment per customer requirements.
- Climb poles, ladders, towers and other structures as needed. Use bucket trucks as needed.
- Train and ensure newer employees are learning and using safe work practices at all times.

Splices, maintains and terminates all types of high and low voltage power cables (lead-covered, gas-filled, oil-filled, etc.).
Pulls, racks and secures high and low voltage cables in manholes, conduit, tunnels, vaults and other installations.
Installs, maintains, repairs and removes high and low voltage conductors, transformers, network protectors, relays, switches, junction boxes and related electrical equipment.
Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs electrical equipment required for spot network distribution systems in high-rise buildings.
Locates and repairs electrical faults in underground network distribution systems, substations and other distribution systems.
Installs, reroutes, maintains and repairs street lighting systems and equipment.

Work Environment/Physical Demand:
Works outdoors in all types of weather.
Works with energized equipment and cables in confined areas, at heights, and in heavy traffic.
Works with toxic/hazardous substances and molten lead and insulating compounds heated to 700º F.
Work requires extended periods of physical exertion, including lifting and manipulating objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.
May work nights, weekends and holidays.
Education: Successful completion of a cable splicer or relevant electrical trades apprenticeship program.
Experience: Requires three years of experience in the electrical trades working under the supervision of a journey level Cable Splicer with at least one year on a cable splicing crew (or a combination of education and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Certification/License: Current Washington State driver's license.
4 years or more of journey level Cable Splicer experience.

Building strand, lashing cables, setting bonds, building risers, setting anchors and down guys
Placing and lashing coax or fiber
Placing self-support cable and inner duct
Ability to drill poles and do pole shifts
Laying and installing all cables in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications
Climbing utility poles and/or using aerial lift truck to place cables on pole per system design and spec.
Performing safety evaluations and testing work for quality
Maintaining a safe, clean work environment
Maintaining and handling all tools, equipment and assets safely and responsibly
Willing to train new ground hand(s)
Compliant with all safety requirements
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions
Complete accurate and detailed logs, records and dailies
Knowledge of computer and excel for receiving work electronically
Knowledge and awareness of safety policies for protecting you, your team and the public at all times.
Able to splice active plant with A/C, read tombstones and design prints, and use of a meter for end of line reading.
Willing to work overnight hours 1AM - 6AM for splicing active plant (as needed basis)
Previous communication line experience required 3 years aerial line/splicing experience preferred.
Familiar with CATV and telephone company prints/specifications
Knowledge and ability to operate aerial bucket truck
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
Must possess valid drivers license with clean 2 year driving history.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check(s)
Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
Punctuality and preparedness to work a normal daily schedule, as well as availability to be called in for emergency work.
