The Electrical Technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair fixtures, circuit breakers, fuses, relays, starters, overload motors, disconnects, resistors, capacitors, and transistors. They will also, set up and program PLC and VFD and all drives. Read and wire electrical schematics/diagrams and troubleshoot circuits and controls and be able to work with minimal supervision.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot all types of electrical circuit breaker and relays, equipment, and controls. Needs to be proficient in the ability to arrange, and install them in a way that ensures safe and proper operation.
- Able to rearrange old or install new outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures existing systems, and the ability to test circuits to see if they are complete after making the repairs or installation.
- Required to have knowledge on how to properly remove and replace fixtures. Also being proficient to make the necessary repairs such as tightening connections, along with wrapping exposed wire with insulated tape, and soldering loose wire leads to the contact point.
- Competently operate small cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, aerial lift, and various construction equipment.
- Read electrical schematics i.e. blueprints, for motors and various type of drives.
- Be proficient in the ability to measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to the specified lengths and angles required for each individual job safely and effectively.
- Must have the ability to use hand tools and portable power tools i.e. a drill, motor, and portable band saw. Must have knowledge of such tools as cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and a pipe threading machines. Proficient with basic electrician tools such as megger, multimeter, and recording amp meter.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
This Electrical Technician provides manufacturing and engineering with the technical support necessary to layout, assemble, debug, modify, test, document and accomplish training for manufactured electrical assemblies, according to Hi-Speed policies, standards and procedures. The Electrical Technician will also provide support for customer visits during FAT / SFT (Factory Acceptance Test / Standard Factory Test).
Provide technical electrical support to Manufacturing personnel. Responsible for providing technical electrical assistance to all Manufacturing personnel for startup, debug, modification, testing and documentation of manufactured products.
Assembly and maintenance of electrical test equipment. Responsible for the design, assembly, testing, documentation and maintenance of electrical test equipment for manufactured products.
Assembly and testing of Controls, printed circuit boards and electrical subassemblies. Responsible for acquiring the necessary parts from stock locations and other departments, final assembly, programming, testing and repair as required, and the completion of all necessary documentation for Controls, printed circuit boards, subassemblies required for inventory and spare parts kits.

Assist with technical training on test equipment and manufactured products to Mettler-Toledo personnel and representatives. Maintain parts stocked in Technical Assembly area. Responsible for cycle count, verifying quantities from receiving and placing parts in their correct stock location.

Constructs wire harnesses and panels by cutting, sorting, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials. Installs wire harnesses and components in panels and other assemblies. Operates tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and cutting machines, heat guns, and associated tools. Locates malfunctions and determines type and amount of rework required to repair each unit. Prepares packages for harness fabrication by cutting, labeling, and kitting. Tests wire harnesses, panels, and aircraft electrical systems for continuity and proper functioning. Follows schematics, drawings, and written or verbal instructions to set up and perform
duties. Completes paperwork, hardcopy and electronic version, associated with job assignment. Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformances
issues. Inspect and evaluate materials, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, tools and product configuration in compliance with requirements, to observe, measure, and record conformity to customer, regulatory and company specifications. Report all non-conformances to manufacturing supervision or corrective action representative. Prepare rejection tags noting deviations from specifications on dimensions, finishes, material, processes, or quality when required. Follow all safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions to safety officials or manufacturing supervision. Reports job status and restraints to coworkers and supervision.
Identifies production inefficiencies and suggests potential improvements to product or process.
Knowledgeable and skilled in electrical (wire harness) materials, fabrication and assembly methods and common shop practices.
Knowledgeable and able to interpret blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions.
Knowledgeable and able to apply shop math.
Knowledgeable and able to use computer systems for office and shop applications.
Skilled in listening and interpersonal participation, and able to work with others as part of a team which includes giving and receiving feedback, and assisting others in completion of tasks.

Opening for an Electrical Technician – 1st shift in the Norfolk, NE area. This Electrical/Automation Technician will safely and effectively control, troubleshoot and work to enhance the electrical and automation subsystems within the facility.
Required Education & Experience:
- Associates degree or 2 year certificate preferred. Will consider training or experience as well.
- 5+ year’s industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience preferred).
- Background in mechanical systems, and pneumatics a plus.
- Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman’s license preferred but not required.
- Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation required.
- Understand electrical schematics and user manuals.
- Improve process issues with automation software.
- Correct hardware issues with PLCs and touchscreens.
- Use advanced network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues.
- Work with IT to troubleshoot and maintain automation servers.
- Construct user manuals and training documentation; train electrical technicians.
- Classify and facilitate process and automation improvements.
- Identify necessary program changes and work with Corporate Controls to improvement.
- Assist and discuss with management/engineering projects as needed.
- Administer support and leadership to electrical technicians.
- Administer, backup and organize all automation related documentation for the facility.
