One of the foundational components to TORC’s self-driving systems is the electrical harness. This key component literally ties all the advanced computing, sensing, and electronic control together to enable a robotic system. We are looking for enthusiastic Electrical Technicians to join our team to assist with the prototype and build of electrical harnesses for our self-driving robotic vehicles.
· Wiring harness, connector assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
· Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
· Reading & understanding wiring schematics and engineering assembly drawings
· Basic PCB Assembly Skills

The Electrical Technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair fixtures, circuit breakers, fuses, relays, starters, overload motors, disconnects, resistors, capacitors, and transistors. They will also, set up and program PLC and VFD and all drives. Read and wire electrical schematics/diagrams and troubleshoot circuits and controls and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in the knowledge of fixtures, wiring in series, parallel and controlled, such as circuit breakers, fuses, relays, outlets, starters, overloads, and motors
- Required to be proficient in the knowledge of wiring diagrams, and understand the size of disconnects, resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
- Fluent in NEC (National Electrical Codes).
- Required to have the knowledge to decipher the type of wire and gauge of the wire.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot all types of electrical circuit breaker and relays, equipment, and controls. Needs to be proficient in the ability to arrange, and install them in a way that ensures safe and proper operation.
- Able to rearrange old or install new outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures existing systems, and the ability to test circuits to see if they are complete after making the repairs or installation.
- Required to have knowledge on how to properly remove and replace fixtures. Also being proficient to make the necessary repairs such as tightening connections, along with wrapping exposed wire with insulated tape, and soldering loose wire leads to the contact point.
- Competently operate small cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, aerial lift, and various construction equipment.
- Read electrical schematics i.e. blueprints, for motors and various type of drives.
- Be proficient in the ability to measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to the specified lengths and angles required for each individual job safely and effectively.
- Must have the ability to use hand tools and portable power tools i.e. a drill, motor, and portable band saw. Must have knowledge of such tools as cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and a pipe threading machines. Proficient with basic electrician tools such as megger, multimeter, and recording amp meter.
- Exposure to medium or high voltage.
- Industrial electrical background (not residential)
- Able to lead small crew and keep them task oriented.
- Knows location and functionality of all production equipment applicable to his/her department.
- Knows location of all shop equipment and tools.
- Possess basic hand tools and skillfully utilize those tools
- Able to start, run and stop complex equipment.
- Must be able to manually lift 50# on intermittently. Heavier loads will be handled using other methods.

- Minimum seven years in the electrical field or other related trade/craft.
- Excellent understanding of typical electrical practices.
Maintenance of the facility and equipment including all manufacturing processes from wax injection through rough dimensional finishing and NDI testing of finished parts.
Implementation of projects to upgrade existing equipment and systems
Coordinate and support plant rearrangements and assists in the selection, procurement and installation of new equipment to support changes in our manufacturing process.
Supports the day to day operations by acting as a resource for skilled trades and contracted services.

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution in Electrical/Electronic Technology or state licensed electrician
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an equipment build/maintenance or manufacturing environment
Successfully meet the standardized TABE testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of electrical trade functions including modifications and revisions, corrective and preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and components such as generators, switchgear, transformers, programmable logic controllers, motors, HVAC units, control and power circuits.
Involved in the installation of conduit, cable trays, raceways, wiring and other associated electrical equipment in support of plant configuration changes.

Experience and Qualifications:
