The Electrical Test Engineer will designs, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting PCBA, systems, and equipment.
Develop. PCBA assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and component drawings in an ISO-9001/FDA GMP design and document control environment.
Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products.
Work with teams to troubleshoot (hands on) electrical/electronic PCBA and instruments.
Plan the labor, schedule, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
Analyze and qualify replacement component due to Reduction of Hazardous Substance (ROHS) conversion or end of life.
Provide product technical expertise and support to manufacturing line.
Support technical issues, upgrades, and upgrades as needed by the various internal departments such as training, manufacturing and service.
Work with various departments and external organizations (Vendors/ Contract Manufacturer) as required developing manufacturing processes, DFM, and validations thru manufacturing implementation.
Perform root cause analysis of field and internal failures and drive the corrective action.
Qualification Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong ability to interface will all departments.
Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines.
Proficient in PCB design electronics software and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Project).
- Experience in SQL, Query Analyzer.

About Electronic Systems Textron Systems Electronic Systems designs and develops test and simulation hardware and software for Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. This includes systems used on the flight line, range or in a lab to simulate enemy radar or missile threats for the purpose of testing aircraft sensors and electronics, or for training a pilot. High fidelity software and hardware design is required to accurately simulate threats in an ever evolving and expanding electromagnetic threat environment.
Test Engineers at Electronic Systems design and develop circuit card interfaces and automated test solutions. This includes circuit card design, firmware and software necessary to complete all test and fixture requirements. Test engineers also debug and troubleshoot production and engineering prototype systems. The applicant will be an engineering liaison/interface, provide direction to technicians and manufacturing personnel, and oversee/conduct acceptance testing and design verification of highly complex, RF electronic warfare test systems. This specific position will involve approximately 50% travel to help maintain and troubleshoot complex electronic warfare simulation and test installations. US citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance is a MUST. Several months of training will be provided before any travel occurs. The applicant will be involved in other test engineering activities on other programs when not supporting fielded installations. This will be a challenging technical position in an advanced field (electronic warfare) with a swiftly growing business unit. PDS Tech,Inc. is seeking a F5 Engineering Ground Test Laboratory Technician for an open position in Windsor Locks, CT.Duties will include the following:
Must have practical knowledge of electromagnetic and RF field theory
Thorough understanding of factors influencing EMC emissions/immunity and mitigating techniques
Must be comfortable working hands-on in a laboratory environment.
Operation knowledge of frequency domain test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF signal generators and amplifiers) is important.
Actively debug known EMC/EMI problems deep dive into root causes.
Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance.
Develop EMC control plan, test procedures and generate test reports
Candidate will evaluate test and analysis data and generate waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.
Must be familiar with MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 Education / Certifications
BS degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant hands on experience. Experience/Qualifications

Electrical Test Engineer
The Opportunity | Electrical Test Engineer Curtiss-Wright has a great opportunity for an Electrical Test Engineer to provide engineering support by performing qualification tests on aerospace products, supporting verification of internal design specifications, and improving on advanced automated and manual test systems throughout the Sensors division. Your Challenge:
Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing detailed test specifications and reports.
Support qualification testing by generating test plans and carrying out tests using in-house or outside test equipment and or facilities if required. Travel both local and national will be required. Some travel to our Mexico plant may also be required.
Support engineering design of experiments and learn design techniques from our chief design engineer.
Failure analysis by teardown may be required to get to the root cause of malfunction. Must be very detailed in trouble shooting process by accurate record keeping and detailed photos of process. Your Expertise: * 4 year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field. * 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical fields.
LabVIEW and generic programming experience is a plus. * A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Willingness to travel periodically both within the US and to Mexico
Ability to speak Spanish is a definite asset.
