Summary of Job Description
The positions within Electrician II are responsible for performing a variety of tasks including routing harnesses and/or cables through truck frames and cabs along with installing lights and electrical parts. The employee must be able to read and understand blue prints and layouts and must be able to lay out electrical equipment needs. They may perform testing on equipment and troubleshoot necessary parts. The employee must keep a clean and safe working environment.

What You Will Be Doing
Prepared to perform routine and urgent electrical, instrumentation, controls and maintenance and repairs.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggers and loop calibrators, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Electrical: Use Multimeter to troubleshoot motors, wiring and electrical problems. Replace industrial electrical components such as switches, contactors, fuses, motors, etc.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic: Understand system components such as solenoids, valves, pumps, regulators, etc. and be able to troubleshoot these types of systems
Mechanical: Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical systems such as conveyors, washers, mixers, ovens, etc.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Neatly and accurately record required data
Enter into and interpret data from work order system
High School Diploma or Equivalency required
Electrical License (LME, Journeyman Card or Millwright Card) strongly preferred
Must be able to work all shifts up to 12 hours, as overtime may be required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Basic computer skills required, intermediate to advanced preferred
Ability to read, understand and follow all production specifications and instructions, written and verbal, required
Inventory and maintenance systems (CMMMS) experience required

Strong mechanical skills required including but not limited to being able to take an object apart, recognize worn parts, replace parts and put back together with or without prints
Experience using a Drill Press, Grinder, Power Saw, Welder, Mill and Lathe all preferred

Preventative maintenance experience required
At least 2 years prior maintenance experience in an industrial facility or equivalent required

Performs complicated installation of machines including the wiring of panels for control systems (PLCs). Installs wiring and conduit to and between machines, relays, sensing equipment, circuit boards, switches, and position sensing devices (poke yokes).
