Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Capability Instrumentation Support JPMRC-IS operations support the Army's USARPAC mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing Soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battle Field. This experience includes capabilities of many of the world's best systems integration and engineering in the technical integration of Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training support. JPMRC-IS is seeking a full-time non-exempt (hourly) position working with the Life Cycle Contractor Support under the Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The Ideal candidate shall possess both depth and breadth of skills ideal for this position mainly supporting the Observer Controller Communication System OCCS part of the JPMRC-IS both at home and deployed locations.
Performs duties as senior technician for JPMRC-IS P25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) trunked system. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, set up, configuration, performance optimization, and life cycle support.
Responsible for the maintenance and field repair of base stations, repeaters, mobile, and handheld radios, transmitters and other field repairable system equipment and components.
Directly responsible for the performance of field investigations to support engineering analysis.
Perform factory maintenance on systems as assigned.
Maintains updated knowledge in P25 trunked land mobile radio LMR systems
Create update and/or review technical field and maintenance reports, systems procedures at an ongoing basis as required.
Complete testing and system performance documentation.
Support and perform on-site commissioning, site acceptance and system testing.
Perform programming and configuration of all system components.
Create preventive maintenance tracking schedule for handheld P25 radios

In this role, you will use your knowledge about database architecture and reporting to produce insights that inform senior managers and program managers about key performance indicators of the CEPD business. About This Role:
The Senior Electronics Test Engineer is responsible for improving the design quality of controller products through the development of detailed validation test plans and procedures. S/he establishes policies, SOP's and tools to assure validation test plans are consistently followed and that incremental results are shared with the appropriate Engineering personnel in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
1.Creates detailed, scalable, re-useable Validation Test Plans that dictate all of the design acceptance criteria for each controller product.
2.Creates detailed Validation Test Procedures which the Validation Tests Plans call out.
3.Performs the detailed Validation Test Procedures and shares results with Engineering personnel.
4.Investigates and recommends tools to facilitate validation Testing. These tools may include software packages that aid in the creation of the plans/procedures and and/or enhance the collaboration between team members. They may also include hardware such as data loggers, surge generators, etc.
5.Visits field sites to gain knowledge about how our products are installed and used. Applies this knowledge to the creation of validation test plans/procedures.
Other Job Functions:
Identifies and recommends new products, product enhancements, and assembly methods.
Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
Interpret and understand the interrelationships of circuits; exercise independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Use complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be capable of performing tasks that frequently require: lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for prolonged periods of time.
Must be capable of performing tasks in cramped, awkward, and strained positions and/or climbing up and down ladders, work platforms, scaffolding, and aircraft structures.
Must be capable of carrying items up to 40 pounds and on heavier items must seek assistance of other workers or weight lifting devices.
Must be capable of wearing cumbersome PPE for Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) operations.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Eight (8) years of documented experience working in electronic technology.
Aviation Technical School certification or an Associate in Electronic Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform logic design and verification of memory products, including micro-architecture
Register Transaction Leve (RTL) design implementation, test case generation, modeling and debugging
Provide constraints to logic synthesis team to translate design into gate level and fix timing issues before silicon tapeout
Develop firmware for memory chip operations
Validate and debug design features on silicon
Work with manufacturing and test teams to ensure product delivery
- Require a minimum of BS in EE or CS/CE with 3 years of experience or MS in EE or CS/CE with 2 years of experience.
