The Professional Security Officer is the heart of Allied Universal Services. The Professional Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our security officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site. Although essential activities may differ based on the facility at which they work, below are some of the standards:
Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests
Answer questions and assist guests and employees
Answer phones or greet guests / employees in a professional, welcoming manner
Physical and Mental Functions:
Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties

Qualified applicants for the Professional Security Officer position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 18 years of age

A Day in the Life:
An Elevator Operator works hard every day to ensure that our grain handling and storage facilities are in top-notch shape. This is a hands-on position requiring you to work outside in all kinds of weather. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis is housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep our bins up and running and loading and unloading grain on both trucks and trains. Safety is always our number one priority and we do everything we can to ensure the safest work environments for our employees, but there are some hazards involved with working in a grain elevator. These hazards include exposure to grain dust, electrical, fall, and trip hazards, and grain engulfment and entanglement. The Elevator Operator position rewards employees who pay attention, take initiative and work hard every single day to ensure that our customers are treated well and our grain stays in good condition.
The Cooperative operates under the "all hands-on deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
What You'll Need to Do This Job:

Elevator Operator II
Primary responsibility is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.
Assists in all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific) and inspects barges, trucks and railcars before loading.
Gauges and reports product levels in grain storage, trucks, barges and railcars
Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties and assists in basic maintenance activities
Know and understand all facets of Bunge's safety programs and culture, lead safety talks and recognize HPE's and other job related hazards around the facility.
Performs grain receiving, weighing and grading duties and visually monitors grain and grain products for irregularities.
Ability to operate more advanced equipment and help with larger maintenance projects
