Duties include setting up, operating and adjusting modular manufacture process machines for a variety of rivets and similar products. Diagnose and remedy any operating and tooling difficulties and be responsible for proper manufacture of product, operation of cleaning, feed and transfer systems and assembly.
Perform major repairs to machines. Regrind and sharpen tools. Lubricate machines and equipment as required.
Move product and materials as required. Perform all inspection requirements to insure that parts meet specifications. Responsible for quality of production.

Embossing Mach Operator
Perform a variety of machine setups and operations related to embossing machines that imprint a design onto various films; ability to learn and run multiple machines, some material slitting and rewinding, material handling and finished product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work from specifications, product and application standards, samples, production schedules, priorities and other information to setup and operate embossing machines to imprint designs through heat/pressure applied to various films.
Make required machine changeovers. Load and unload materials, making machine adjustments to material feeds, tensions, take-up/idler rolls, heating/cooling or curing sources according to material type.
Make required inspections and checks for defects in image area being embossed. Understand the cost of Quality.
Place, align, bolt, clamp and secure cylinders, guards, sensors, slitters, switches, rollers, material and take-up reels, feed and other mechanisms. Dial in job specifications into controller and set speeds, feed, pressures, tensions, according to material
Perform routine operator maintenance on embossers as instructed by supervisors and maintenance staff.
Record production run quantities, job orders, product and materials used, machinery down times.
Fork truck driving required at times.
Perform similar or other duties as required.
Use of shop arithmetic, including decimals and fractions; simple use of charts, tables, specifications, schedules, tape measure, use of adjustable measuring instruments requiring knowledge in machine and equipment operations. Over 2 years of machine operator

Pilot Plant Technician
Solutia, Inc., a leading manufacturer of film interlayer products, has immediate opening for a Pilot Plant Technician at its Springfield, MA location. Pilot operations consist of computer-controlled extrusion, laminating machines and coating operations, partially automated extrusion and embossing equipment, data acquisition systems, raw materials and finished goods handling equipment. A suitable candidate for this position would be very adaptable in capable of performing a wide variety of polymer processing operations such as extrusion, lamination, embossing, coating, lab analysis and related work.

This position performs manufacturing and inspections functions during production. A key part of this position will be meeting established safety practices, quality standards and production rates. This position is also required to operate a fork lift to assist in product movement.
The Machine Operator IV will have achieved the competencies as described in Skill Block Level 4, and will be expected to consistently demonstrate that level of proficiency.

Position Title: Technical Services Manager – Tissue Business
Reports to: General Manager
The Technical Services Manager provides technical process expertise and guidance and quality support to all internal and external customers for the tissue business. Additionally, the Tech Services Manager must recognize opportunities for process improvement and develop them to completion.
The Technical Services Manager will provide technically focused process and quality information and analyses to internal and external customers. The incumbent will also provide broader levels of support for specific short-term needs mill-wide. As the tissue business grows, the Tech Services Lead will perform a larger scope of duties as outlined in following sections under "Major Accountabilities."
The scope of the position will include frequent contact with all departments and levels of the organization. The Tech Services Manager is not assigned to specific process areas, except to the extent that the individual works with and supports various Process Management Teams.
This position will have a focus and ownership of Product benchmarking, Sales Technical Support, Product Development, Emboss Pattern Development, Packaging Specification Development
The Tech Services Manager will participate in Natural and Process Management Team activities to help teams achieve their key process goals. In addition, the Technical Services Manager is expected to perform the duties of a Management Representative on a Process Management Team.
The Tech Services Manager will oversee and coordinate laboratory and process testing and data collection. Coordination of this work may involve assistance from process and laboratory technicians, or hands-on efforts to complete the work.
This position will provide startup support and facilitate technical training for the tissue business.
Provide process and quality information and/or analyses to internal and external customers.
Manage implementation of new process equipment and chemistries.

Product benchmarking serves two primary purposes; a) provide data to sales on current potential customers' products, and b) keep up to date on industry trends in quality to ensure a competitive position in the marketplace.
Overseeing an ISO compliant laboratory, with temperature and humidity control to standard conditions. Extensive testing is required to define not only sheet quality but roll build and product uniformity.
Develop test methods that are specific to the tissue business; for example, the current TAPPI caliper test will not suffice for tissue. For example, laser profilometry would be a more reliable measurement.
Sales Technical Support
Sales will at times require technical support when visiting customers to resolve quality concerns, or when visiting new customers to describe our products in relation to their current supply.
Continual development of product quality to remain competitive, especially since many premium quality tissue manufacturers are using eucalyptus for bath grades. This will encompass trialing new coating chemistries, softener chemistries, sheet layering design, refiner operation optimization, etc.
Mill trials, as well as pilot trials, will need to be designed and evaluated. Evaluation of pulp quality in relation to tissue quality in alignment with the new digester furnish.
Converting rewinder operation understanding to set specifications for base sheet quality which will convert effectively into final product specifications. Tests for roll firmness need to be developed and algorithms created which use base sheet caliper and basis weight, and finished roll diameter, sheet count, and firmness.
Build and maintain relationships with industry chemical suppliers to keep abreast of new developments
Emboss pattern development
Understanding of current technology for embossing roll designs to minimize sheet strength loss (which implies less refining energy during base sheet manufacture). Emboss patterns will need development, trials run and testing done to prove designs.
Packaging specification development
Packaging specifications need to be developed to minimize poly wrap caliper and reduce costs, evaluate print quality, etc.
Must have a degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science/Technology or equivalent.
A minimum of ten years pulp & paper process engineering experience
Must be competent to work with software applications, computer models, and control algorithms.
Must be able to work in a team-based management environment with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Must be self-managed, with the ability to work with cross-functional team.

Under the direction of the ATM Team Lead the ATM Clerk will trouble-shoot and perform first line maintenance to the ATM fleet. Additionally the ATM Clerk performs GL reconciliation, deposit processing, cash management and audits as assigned by the ATM Team lead. Provides exceptional service to our membership by answering inquires and performing research and completing disputes in a prompt and member-focused manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide first line servicing of all ATM terminals owned by the Credit Union in accordance with the organization's dual control policies
Retrieve deposits made at each terminal at least weekly and as needed
Replenish cash in each terminal at least weekly and as needed; handle and carry large sums of cash to various
locations on a daily basis
Retrieve and destroy captured plastics
Troubleshoot terminal performance and minor equipment failures; clean ATM parts, clear jammed printers and
card readers, replenish printer paper and ink, and power fail as necessary
- Place service calls to Diebold, the ATM hardware vendor if first-line servicing cannot resolve the issue; document
service calls, machine outages and errors, and resolution statuses on a department Excel spreadsheet
Meet and escort Diebold when necessary
Monitor terminal statuses through TAS software
Report service outages and resolutions statuses to Management effectively and in a timely manner
Process daily ATM settlement using various system reports
Perform research on transactions conducted at Credit Union-owned terminals
Perform full cash audits on each ATM monthly; participate in monthly top-off audits of the ATM vault when needed.
Conduct regular compliance reviews of ATMs (ADA compliance, signage, and other items); take photographs
during reviews to prove compliance
Unlock and reset passwords for employees who need login assistance
Troubleshoot minor equipment failures of Instant Issue embossing and PIN machines
Provide servicing on member accounts and respond to internal and external requests in a timely manner
Open and verify all checks and/or cash deposited to the ATM ensuring the negotiability and accuracy of all deposit entries, and process all deposits daily. Maintain compliance with dual control policies and procedures
Run deposits down the Remit Plus track for processing to member accounts
Use the TAS ATM software to research transactions and respond to member and employee inquiries
Use eFunds and DataNavigator software to conduct transaction research and key adjustment chargebacks on disputed items
Use the core financial system to post account adjustments as needed
Respond to member mail, phone, or email inquiries regarding ATM, ATM card, and debit card transactions
Activate and mail ATM card and PIN mailers to members upon request
Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures
Performs other related duties as assigned
Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI/TK) for access to government facilities
Ability to lift a minimum of 35-50lbs.
Valid driver's license and good driving record in order to operate a Credit Union owned vehicle for travel to various locations.
