Ensure that solid dose products are manufactured safely and at the highest quality. Follow Standard Operating Procedures for operating compression and encapsulation machines, including monitoring quality. Keep accurate records and work closely with Quality Assurance. Assist other

Operate compression and encapsulation machines safely.
Check for quality of the product during equipment operation every 15 minutes or as directed, and notify the supervisor of any manufacturing issues affecting product quality.
Adapt to changing company policies, manufacturing methods, and formulation changes.
Sign log books as necessary regarding production activities, with accurate data and time.
Immediately report any mechanical or procedural failures or issues to the supervisor.
Keep accurate records for every batch run sheet and downtime sheet.
Performs and assists in other duties as needed and directed.

At least 1 year of machine operator experience.
Proven knowledge of high speed, manufacturing equipment, experience with punch presses, or encapsulation machines preferred.

Under general supervision, is responsible for firefighting duties of average difficulty; and performs related work as required.
Distinguishing Features: This is the entry-working class in the Firefighter sub-series. An employee in this class is responsible for fighting fires at an Air National Guard base and will be required to work a 56 hour work week (24-hour shifts) or other incremental shift work to meet mission requirements as determined by supervisory personnel. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This is an entry level position located in the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Fire Recruits must complete a 16-18 week training academy and are supervised by Fire Department Training Officers until such time as the basic instruction in firefighting skills and examination are completed. The multiple-choice test will be proctored and administered on-line during a single session. Candidates invited to participate in the online multiple-choice test will be able to take the test from any location using a computer with a webcam and a reliable internet connection. Candidates will receive an email from the City of Los Angeles outlining the dates and specific steps on how to take the multiple-choice test on-line. It is anticipated that candidates invited to participate in the first administration of the weighted multiple-choice test will be able to take the multiple-choice test online beginning in SEPTEMBER 2018. Candidates who do not complete and submit the remote proctored multiple-choice test on-line using a computer by the specified date and time will not be considered further in this examination.
