Software Testing Supervisor
Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission (VWC) is seeking a qualified Software Testing Supervisor to support the Commission's mission to lead the nation as the most effective and innovative state agency. The Software Testing Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing the scope of the manual and automated software testing strategy for the Commission within the guidelines of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); establishing testing procedures and ensuring proper testing protocols are followed for the Commission's software and web applications; supervising the Commission's Software Testing Team; and implementing and supporting testing tools as directed by the Assistant CIO/Application Services Manager. Additional responsibilities include determining test scope and creating test plans and script; ensuring sufficient test coverage of new or modified web software applications; and supervising and developing automated regression testing suites.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year higher education institution, with a BA or BS degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or the equivalent in training and/or experience
Supervisory experience to include delegating assignments and handling performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions
Significant experience with the full scope of testing including designing and executing test plans for manual and automated Quality Assurance testing and regression testing
Considerable requirements management experience to include traceability
Considerable experience coding automated testing scripts in Selenium
Considerable experience with development tools including Selenium, Eclipse, and/or Jenkins and requirements tools including JIRA and/or Footprints
Knowledge of industry best practices for manual and automated Quality Assurance testing
Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to include testing strategies, methodologies, and tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Proven ability to work within deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency operating in a Windows-based operating system; utilizing web-based applications; and using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completion of Basic EKG interpretation course. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Demonstrates knowledge of all phases of invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular testing to include Doppler, plethysmography, exercise stress testing, nuclear stress testing, EKG, holter and event monitoring, cath lab patient preparation and recovery. Demonstrates knowledge of basic EKG interpretation.
Demonstrates knowledge of the various types of equipment used for cardiac diagnostics and patient care with the ability to troubleshoot associated technical problems. Demonstrates the ability to provide patient safety. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrates computer skills. Ability to work well with all customers: co-workers, hospital staff, physicians, patients, family members, physician office personnel, and sales representatives. Experience One year of experience in acute care hospital preferred.
Minimum of two years performing EKG, holter and event monitoring, stress testing, arterial testing preferred. Two years of supervisory experience required. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. Responsible for the following tasking and support as needed for scheduled/unscheduled back shop MRO activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Reports directly to the AMM and coordinates with the senior lead when technician support is needed
Oversees and performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data
Ensures that all direction provided in the manufacturer's ICAs, SBs, service letters, and ADs complies with government and
industry standard practices and other data acceptable to or approved by FAA
- Must be thoroughly familiar with all 14 CFRs, tools, and equipment, including inspection aids used within their assigned area
of responsibility
Ensures accurate and timely documentation of the work performed in the appropriate maintenance record
Trains, assists, and supervise technicians in proper work procedures and practices
Ensures that the department's equipment and tools are maintained in good working order
Ensures that the shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner
Ensures that all personnel are trained in the appropriate safety practices and procedures, including proper use and location of
fire extinguishing equipment
Periodically checks the fire and safety equipment to ensure serviceability and adequacy
Performs all other duties assigned by the AMM
Basic Qualifications
Requires high school diploma or equivalent years of prior experience
The Lead shall hold a valid mechanic certificate issued by the FAA with an airframe rating or a valid repairman certificate from an applicable repair station.
The Lead shall have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience at avionics troubleshooting with two (2) of the seven years as an electronics/avionics maintenance supervisor.
The Lead shall have demonstrated experience in the type aviation maintenance support required for the Designated Aircraft Inventory; experience of general aviation electronics systems to include communications, navigation, and flight control systems; certificate of graduation from a military or civilian electrical/avionics school; and a working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations, at the level of responsibility for making airworthiness decisions.
This position is a full time responsibility and must be located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Engine Workshop Technician - Level II has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within branch operations. Engine Workshop Technician – Level II Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAFETY
Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
Maintain adequate personal tooling to perform assigned tasks.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Respond to all customer requests courteously and professionally, in a timely and responsive manner.
Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professional appearance.
Advise the Service Supervisor of parts needed for necessary repairs.
BUSINESS
Document detailed, complete and legible descriptions of all repair operations performed, using required all forms and procedures.
Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with dealers, customers, management, and co-workers.
OTHER
Maintain company and product confidentiality.
Attend and participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities as required.
Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency.
Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and rules.
All other duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
Disassemble, clean and reassemble engines and /or engine components
Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines
Assists more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans engines in the workshop
Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
Qualifications and Competencies

- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution (Preferred)
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
Experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Skills
Level I Technician plus
In depth mechanical repair and maintenance capability to carry out external engine repairs including fuel system components without supervision
Ability to carry out full diagnostics using Cummins diagnostic tools on different product types without supervision
Able to fully use all required Cummins service tools including Insite, EDS, Quick Serve On Line
Ability to develop and maintain productive customer relationships
Able to identify and communicate opportunities for work process improvements
Can resolve common technical problems
Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company Service vehicle, including but not limited to:
Must have a current, valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.
Must have current motor vehicle liability insurance.
No convictions for any driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs charges (DUI) within prior 5 years.
No greater than three (3) moving violations within prior 12 month period.
No greater than 2 avoidable accidents on MVR within prior 3 years.
Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and meet all physical requirements for the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
