- Operate assigned Rocheleau blow molding (Mat.Tech.I), Bekum, Kautex blow molding (Mat.Tech.II), production line equipment to maximize High 5 Operational Metrics: Efficiency, Quality, Safety, Engagement and Resin Loss.
- Independently perform machine adjustments within allowable parameters, perform routine machine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on all production equipment, including molders and peripheral quality equipment on assigned lines.
- Identify and recommend improvements and support all company continuous improvements activities. Work with plant leadership, set up and maintenance to implement improvements. Sustain 6S program in the production cells, supporting team members and reporting repeat variation to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to customer specifications and accurately document all records related to downtime, production, scrap, repairs, process deviation, etc.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for other team members and new members learning technical functions.
- Assist in identifying non-conforming product and re-work of non-conforming product as necessary.
- Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environment.
- Perform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by plant leadership. Assist in the duties of other team members, including helping to cover break times, etc.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift or carry parts, material and product of up to 30 pounds. Must be able to grasp, pinch, reach, finger, pick, or otherwise work with fingers, hands and arms for regular tasks. Must laugh at jokes and enjoy attempts at humor from other team members, no matter how feeble.
Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection and operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F.
Must climb steps, maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling, have good hand/eye coordination, stoop, and bend. Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects as real.

Mold Cleaner - 3Rd Shift
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am SUMMARY
Clean and inspect molds used in the production of rubber molded parts. Perform light maintenance duties on molds.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions as defined by the ADA, except those that begin with the word 'may".)
Clean molds using mold cleaning machine.
Inspect mold cavities for damage; inspect and, if necessary, replace o-rings, spring hanging bolts and sleeves; drill out vacuum lines; perform general maintenance on molds.
Inspect mold plates for flaking of coating
Enter information into inspection logbook.
Maintain mold inventory book and all associated paperwork.
Tag and put molds and dies in proper location. Make labels for molds.
Assist with breaking-down and setting up molds on base plate.
Keep track of media usage, both incoming and outgoing.
Use power truck to lift and move molds on/off racks and floor.
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Ability to operate the mold cleaning machines.
Ability to identify mold issues including what constitutes damaged cavities, when o-rings need to be replaced, the flaking of coating, and other general maintenance issues.

Plastics And Stamping Mold & Die Specialist
The successful candidate for the Plastics and Stamping Specialist position will be responsible for supporting the procurement of new and replacement Injection molding tools and stamping dies, trial runs of new molds/dies, cleaning, maintaining, and repair of all Tesla's molds & dies. The candidate should be well versed in the operation of basic tool room equipment. Additionally desired specialized skill sets include: Laser Micro welding, EDM, CNC, TIG & MIG welding; Basic proficiency in the following software a big plus: Solidworks, Catia, & Surfcam software.
Day to day coverage/support of production molds/dies: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
Create, modify, and implement PM documents, schedules, and activities under the direction of the Tool & Die Supervisor.
Perform major repairs and rebuilds, (some weekends and holidays required).
Plan and organize between shift and weekend work, including verification, for smooth operations.
Assist the Tool & Die Supervisor in developing PMs and procedures for maintaining all of the equipment in the shop.
Design, fabricate, implement, and fully document Tool/Die improvements and modifications.
Provide Troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical systems and connections between Tool/Die and the machines.
Provide effective direction, coaching, and training to fellow employees on shift to boost their skill sets, and help production achieve their goals.
Manage Tool/Die consumables, and spare part inventory.
5+ years of extensive experience maintaining injection molding tools, or stamping dies, or high pressure die casting equipment.
Must have expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional.
Experience creating & maintaining a positive atmosphere in a collaborative work team.
Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical is highly desired.
Good overall computer skills, including Microsoft Office and e-mail programs.

The Mold Entry Technician position would be responsible for hanging molds, performing barrel changes, and installation of all auxiliary equipment included in all set-ups.

Mold Repair Technician
Constructs, alters and repairs a variety of molds, tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and special machines. Operates CNC and EDM equipment.
1. Sets up and operates tool room machinery to perform complex work of high accuracy and finish meeting close dimensions and specifications.
2. Constructs and assembles complex tooling, molds, fixtures, jigs and gauges from prints, sketches and verbal explanations to meet customer requirements with minimal supervisor's direction.
3. Utilizes CAD to develop print design or make changes, adjustments as required to meet quality requirements.
4. Operates CNC and EDM equipment as needed.
5. Trouble shoots all molds, tools jigs and fixtures.
6. Directs work to mold makers and Tool Room personnel as assigned during the tool room leader's absence.
7. Performs heat treatment on molds, tools, etc. as required.
8. Changes print dimensions in order to meet proper assembly of tooling with supervisor's approval.
