Etch Line Operator
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager
Work Schedule: Rotational 3-2-2
Work Hours: 6pm to 6am (Overnight)
- Etch Line operator responsibilities include set-up, production control, production operation, light maintenance, inspection of etched product, and other duties as assigned. Includes all items below;
- Select the correct coil for production and set up line. Follow and understand all written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Placing coils of material onto the etch line payoff and place empty reels onto the take up. Removing full reels of etched material from the take ups after etching operation weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Documenting and properly labeling all work.
- Must work with many different types of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. Must be familiar with machine and industrial work place hazards and operate all equipment carefully and safely. Safety is a priority.
- Required to perform routine chemical testing and minor maintenance on chemical baths and equipment.
- Must identify process problems and perform process troubleshooting as necessary.
- Must complete all documentation required for production and QA as required. Must work with computers.
- Must complete inspection procedures for etched product. Includes setting up and monitoring of the vision system, working with gage pins, reading meters, and performing chemical testing.
- Etch line operator must be able to work independently and be highly motivated.
- Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the Interplex Employee Manual.
- Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.
- Perform duties outside of normal work hours as required.

Laser Etch Operator -- Temp To Perm
Must have manufacturing experience and be able to set up and operate machines.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Accurately record daily production information and maintain a safe and organized work area.
Must be able to read and understand prints.
Able to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

Identify and make appropriate corrections to maintain expected level of quality
Perform routine adjustments to equipment and attend to minor maintenance needs to maintain or improve established process cycle times
Maintain clean, uncluttered workplace; perform TPM and 5S as scheduled.
Work cooperatively to improve processes within the department.
Report to Supervisor / Group Leader status of the area daily (safety issues, maintenance issues, etc) - Cross train in other areas to maintain and/or increase skills and assist with training others as needed.
Understand concept of production boards and how to maintain them.
Abide by all of Irwin Tools safety standards.

Your primary areas of responsibility include plasma dry etch process characterization, optimization, design, troubleshooting, process transfer and fundamental research. Performs functions associated with all wafer production operations, including thin film, deposition, etch and inspection. Performs thin film production runs to support cooled wafer and FPA processing. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment.
