Performs general maintenance and repairs on the Tank Farm, Warehouse, facilities, equipment, forklifts, trailers, and trucks.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes routine maintenance and tune ups for trucks including oil changes, minor engine repairs, and various mechanical repairs
Maintain and repair all trailers
Performs manual warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to painting, rack identification, and replacement of light fixtures & light bulbs. May also trim trees and complete outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned
Responsible for coordinating the facility maintenance program to ensure all maintenance is completed routinely
Completes various welding and fabrication projects
Completes general Tank Farm maintenance including pump and hose inspections
Completes necessary research for non-standard maintenance & repairs requiring the purchase of materials and/or employment by outside contractors or vendors
Monitors progress of outside contractors to ensure timely and proper repairs
Provides guidance and assistance to less senior maintenance workers
Serve on company's in-plant or off-site emergency response team
Performs required testing, repairs and re-certification of IBC's
Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines
Perform all other duties as required

Works with Customer Service department in order to move excess loads.
Maintains updated carrier information in computer system.

Position Title: Load Planner
As a Load Planner, you will manage the daily planning of trucks and available freight based on truck availability, fuel efficiencies, customer freight schedules and transit times while coordinating between driver needs and ensuring safe and on time delivery while managing trailer pools in set regions.
1.Works with Customer Service Representatives to determine which freight tenders to accept and decline based on truck availability; preplans trucks in their assigned regions based on availability, deadhead mileage, drivers' needs and transit times; plans freight based on the priority of the customer's needs, driver's needs and using the least amount of deadhead possible.
2.Coordinates local deliveries and pick-ups using Hub/ hourly/ over the road drivers to ensure service is met.
3.Arranges with Driver Managers, the appropriate loads for each truck based on the driver's needs, hours of availability and transit time of loads; coordinates relays between drivers to help with driver's needs while ensuring freight delivers on time.
4.Oversees trailer utilization and allocation within set regions; positions trailers strategically by region to maximize usage and balance trailer pools between drop locations; informs Planning Supervisor and sales department on drop trailer utilizations to determine cost efficiency.
5.Responsible for minimizing deadhead, maintaining good trailer utilization, directing CSR's on which freight works best for any given day, solving problems brought to them by Driver Managers, Customer Service Representatives and other Planners with the company's best interest in mind.
6.Communicates with customers any information that is requested or any questions that they may have as needed.
7.Performs other related duties as assigned.
At least 1 year experience in Transportation Customer Service, Load Planning, Dispatching or related field; experience in the field of transportation, travel scheduling, or related field; two years post high school education or military experience; excellent organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with others. Experience using AS/400 preferred.
