Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs a variety of CNC and multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems for industrial and precision equipment. Tests, analyzes malfunctions, modifies, repairs, adjusts, and maintains mechanical portions of automatic control instruments and related recording devices used in the operation of industrial manufacturing equipment.
Operates machine through necessary cycles to check mechanical portion of electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems and detects any variations from specifications. Analyzes results of the tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction.
Modifies and adjusts settings to related equipment in order to properly align mechanical systems. Repairs faulty components, re-tests system or systems as necessary. Perform incidental welding in conjunction with the normal maintenance activities.
Analyzes equipment malfunctions to determine if machine failure is originating in the control systems, or is of a mechanical nature. Sets up a variety of higher sensitive, precision test tools and equipment and conducts a series of involved operational tests.
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial manufacturing equipment to include CNC multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems.
Knowledgeable in the setup of a variety of highly sensitive, precision test tools and equipment.
Prior experience with machine maintenance such as: operating CNC machines through cycles to check mechanical portion of electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems, detecting variations from specifications, analyzing results of tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction, modifying and adjusting settings to related equipment in order to properly align mechanical systems, repairing faulty components.
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement.
5 years of related experience.
2 year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline.
Prior experience with welding, analyzing CNC equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting mechanical systems, repairing spindle alignments, setting squareness of a machine and checking for positioning accuracy.
Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines.
Experience with Tecport coating chamber, Hoffman polisher, computer controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc.

1.Installs and maintains transmission, distribution and related equipment in both overhead and underground, requiring climbing poles and vault entry.
2.Installs cross arms and other fixtures.
3.Installs and connects transformers, oil and gas switches, capacitor banks, lightningarrestors, fuses, street lights, house services and meters.
4.Removes old poles and installs new poles, anchors and guys.
5.Transfers energized lines to new poles.
6.Installs, services and repairsunderground duct lines, terminals, cables and associated equipment such as transformers and switches.
7.Makes up splices.

21.Performs inspections of city, commercial, industrial and residential underground power vaults structures and documenting conditions and suggested improvements.
22.Trains and instructs apprentices, helpers, and journey level workers assisting on assigned jobs.

Education, Training and Experience
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance would qualify. For example: attainment of journey EDM (or equivalent class) status through successful completion of a State of California approved EDM apprentice program.

Probationary work test period is one year.
A California class "A" license is required. Possession of Class "A" California driver's license is a condition of continued employment along with a satisfactory driving record. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Use PLC/computer programs to trouble shoot equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Working knowledge of production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)

Experience with Electrical DC and AC up to 460 volts is required.

Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
Work with Engineering, Planning, research engineers, etc. to originate and develop new procedures, techniques and production aids to facilitate equipment operations and to support design and implementation of new products.

Performs maintenance, installation and repair work on electrical/pneumatic equipment, systems and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of electrical technology.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Electrical Journeyman's Certificate approved/accepted by local or state government.
5 years related work experience. Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
All types of tools and equipment normally used in the electrical trade, including specialized equipment such as relay test set, infrared camera, breaker test set; powered bench and hand tools (such as drills, grinders, compressed air) as well as non-powered hand tools.

AECOM is currently seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 3 / Electrical and Environmental in support of U.S. Air Force maintenance operations at Holloman AFB NM. This contract consists of F-16 Block 40 aircraft organizational level (O-level) assigned to the 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (54AMXS), 7th and 8th Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMU) contractor operation and Intermediate level (I-Level) supplementing the 54th Maintenance Squadron (54 MXS) and 49 MXS to support flying training for the 56th Fighter Wing (56 FW), 54th Fighter Group (54 FG), training mission at Holloman AFB (HAFB), NM.
The Aircraft Mechanic 3 / Electrical and Environmental, performs and supervises aircraft electrical and environmental (E & E) functions and activities. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft E & E systems, components, and associated support equipment.
1.Inspects, troubleshoots and maintains aircraft E & E systems, subsystems, components, and associated test equipment.
2.E & E on equipment systems include direct and alternating current; gas turbine compressors and auxiliary power units; landing gear, anti-skid, and nose wheel steering; electronic engine control, ignition, and starting; lighting; master caution and warning; take-off warning; flight control; cargo door and cargo delivery equipment; non-electro static application windows; anti-icing; fire and overheat warning; fire extinguishing and suppression; fuel control; liquid cooling; air conditioning, bleed air, cabin pressurization, and auxiliary pressurization; oxygen; and aircraft utility systems.
3.May perform off-equipment maintenance on E & E system components and associated test equipment. Included are control, protection, caution, and warning panels; lighting equipment; frequency and load controls; anti-icing controllers; inverters; voltage regulators; nose wheel steering and anti-skid amplifiers; generators and integrated drive generators; actuators, relays, motors, and valves; lighting equipment; fire and overheat panels; fire extinguishing equipment; aircraft batteries; and special equipment testers.
4.Performs cryogenic maintenance on mobile aircraft servicing units. Maintains electrical wiring and connectors. Uses electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test and support equipment. Maintains compressed gas equipment.
5.Inspects and evaluates aircraft E & E maintenance activities. Determines operational status of assigned assets.
6.Interprets inspection findings and determines corrective actions. Ensures compliance with technical publications and directives.
7.Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
8.Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
9.This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste and smell. Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, or may include unsafe conditions, in which case questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues. Night work may be required.
Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Candidate also must pass an FBI fingerprint check prior to being offered employment. Position may require travel.

Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to E & E systems; concepts and application of maintenance directives; meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; and proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
Must be a High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum seven (7) years actual and recent aircraft maintenance experience is required.
Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or aviation maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license.
Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Candidates with prior F-16 experience highly desired.
