Operator Extrusion
Responsibilities
As a 2nd Shift Extrusion Operator in the Hose department you will perform the following duties:
Operation of the assigned equipment and any auxiliary equipment associated with the operation of the assigned area.
Inform the crew leader/shift supervisor of any safety, mechanical, or operational problems.
Document actions completely and accurately as required on receiving, QC, and assigned paperwork.
Qualifications & Competencies
HS diploma or GED
Ability to communicate in English, writing must be legible using proper spelling and grammar
Ability to follow written instructions (ie SOP's and specifications)
Ablity to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Ability to drive a forklift and posses a valid drivers license
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
Handle machine parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
Move and control reels of garden hose weighing up to 1200 pounds. Body strength and stamina must be sufficient to perform these duties 50 times per shift.
Remove tooling and properly reassemble using basic hand tools. Basic motor skills are required to perform the necessary mechanical aspects of this job in an efficient manner.
Tolerate summer heat of 15 degrees above outside temperatures.
Body agility to enable bending, stooping and lifting hose, tools and other items needed to perform the job. Body strength and stamina must be sufficient to perform these duties 25 times per shift.

Basic Function
The R&D PT Laboratory Technician’s primary role is to perform testing and to develop an understanding of polymer chemistry, as well as, the fundamental principles of the analysis. This role participates in the development of new methods, the purchase and installation of new equipment and in investigative research studies examining the interplay between the polymer, test design and morphology. Min. Qualifications
Associates Degree in Chemistry and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in an R&D laboratory.
Solid background in statistics, computer-based instrument control systems, and office software tools.

Position Summary

Specialist - Extrusion Process Engineer
JOB SUMMARY: The position requires strong project management, leadership, communication and presentation skills.
The candidate must have a thorough end-to-end knowledge of frozen/refrigerated food production equipment for processing unit operations, in particular a deep expertise in wet & dry extrusion with a food product. The candidate must also possess a good understanding of regulatory requirements of a food production facility as it relates to machine design and specification. The candidate should drive process equipment innovation in close relationship with all business partners, internal and external.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Be a leader in the implementation of the Nestle R&D Engineering in the definition of standards, best practices and continuous improvement.
2.Leads process and process equipment improvement and innovation activities of projects: define activities including resource planning, check existing internal and external knowledge and information, deliver end-products of defined quality at defined time and at committed budget. Comprehensive knowledge and integration of plant level KPIs (efficiency, throughput, etc.) key.
3.Set strategy, coordinate and interact with key suppliers and internal customers on identifying the right machines for the right applications: from User Requirement Specification to machine fabrication, FAT, commissioning, installation and start-up qualification, CAPEX evaluation.
4.Responsible for the life-cycle management of Projects.
5.Coordinate the use of R&D Technical Competencies and external engineering resources, as necessary to achieve the business needs.
6.Support the factories on any type of engineering matters, following priorities agreed upon by SBU and R&D Management.

A minimum of 7-10 years of related engineering experience in the food industry. A substantial portion of the food industry experience must have been with processing unit operation specification and/or factory implementation.
Specific expertise in extrusion with a food product is a requirement. This expertise should include specification, procurement, qualification and start-up of processes using extrusion in production of food products.
Certified PMP is a plus, but skills to this level are required.

Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher. May occasionally operate automated equipment and/or industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures. This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Up to $23.40 per hour
Consistently and safely operate extrusion machines at or above standard levels of operation including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization.
Runs multiple lines at once, placing finished rolls of sheet onto racks, climbing into towers to string up extrusion lines, and assisting with roll pulling as needed.
Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
Provide innovative solutions for production issues.
Provide support and guidance to less experienced personnel.
Complete appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
Inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects.
Observe all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete all certifications required for the extrusion operator specialist.
Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required.
Must be able to stand on your feet and work for an entire 12 hour shift.
Minimum 1 - 3 years in Extrusion machine operation required.
