JOB SUMMARY
The program manager will oversee and manage integration of health center operations with activities of outreach staff, students/nurses, residents and
volunteers working in the farmworker camps/community and clinic settings. This position involves extensive outreach activities outside the clinic setting for approximately 6 months of the year working with migrant, seasonal, and retired farmworkers and their dependents. The program manager structures outreach services to smoothly interface with health center/clinic activities. The program manager is responsible for planning, managing, implementing all
outreach activities, and special projects. The position requires flexible hours (evenings and weekends), as valid NC driver's license, car insurance, an
acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a degree in the area of public health, international health, social work, education, and/or nursing, and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
Current/valid License: Driver's License
Experience: Two years of community based experience in public health, preferably with migrant farmworkers.
Language: Bilingual English/Spanish required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Work is performed in an office environment and in the community. Community outreach is typically done outside, so much be able to withstand all outside climate variables (e.g. heat, farmland, etc). Must be able to routinely work in the evenings (typically after 6pm) and on weekends occasionally, as necessary. Contact with staff and external clients and vendors.
A valid driver's license and proof of insurance is required for this position. Is expected to drive a company vehicle to transport patients as needed, so must maintain an acceptable driving record.
Dairy Frozen Management
Assist to manage and supervise up to 10 associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department. Is responsible for assisting the Department Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and standards. Responsibilities may include performing as the floor monitor, interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; assist in appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for processing/stocking products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

(Key Duties)
Perform a variety of tasks involved in the manufacturing of cheese and/or whey products by following established procedures, to produce product according to company specifications, quality and safety objectives.
Carry out varied duties such as setup and monitoring of equipment, stirring/mixing/cutting, cooking, testing, inspecting, and providing feedback to Cheesemakers or Process Specialists.
Must thoroughly understand processes and independently make decisions that affect product quality.
Ensure production is running efficiently and processes meet Grande and regulatory standards.

High school diploma or equivalency degree
Preferred 1 – 2 years grocery retail experience in Dairy/Frozen department processes and procedures

Upper body forces up to 10 lbs. for up to 1 hour are required

Must use a 2 step stool to access shelves for up to 1 step per 8 hours
Must repetitively bend/squat to access a point 5 inches from the floor for up to 30 hours
Requires standing continuously for up to 4 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
Will work inside controlled temperatures, as well as coolers/freezers
Vision is required to order, stock and inventory all dairy products
Walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours is expected

Essential Job Functions:
Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
Inform customers of dairy specials.
Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered.
Recommend dairy items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report all safety risks, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
