Reports To: Machining Production Manager
The Vigor Machine team is a provider of emergent ship repair as well as outfitting and assembly of new project builds such as wheel gates for the hydro industry, or stacker cranes for commercial airline paint hanger facilities. We regularly work on repair projects involving steam turbines, reciprocating engines, pumps, valves, in-place machining using portable mills and line boring equipment and much more. And we do it with a Can do, get it done (right) attitude.
Manage a team of assembly millwrights for outfitting and assembly of new project builds. Responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, budgets, productivity, quality control and safety measures established at Vigor. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with companys policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans. Rely on extensive machining, fabrication experience and judgment to plan and accomplish objectives. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity will be required to be successful in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team to disassemble, diagnose, repair or replace, reassemble and test small to large assemblies for new builds and the ship repair industry.
Clean up as you go to make sure your job site remains well-organized, free of unnecessary clutter.
Fit bearings, shafts, attach motors, and connect and align couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
Assemble and test mechanical components
Will read blueprints, diagrams, bill of materials, schematics and other technical documents to dismantle and assemble equipment.
Develop plans and sequencing for assemblies.
Has a solid, working knowledge of rigging and overhead crane operation, lifting device use and inspection and load calculations.
Use a variety of hand tools and measuring tools. You will lift heavy objects, physically manipulate objects with tools as needed utilizing cranes and other equipment to complete large-scale projects in your daily job duties.

The Assembly & Test Supervisor will direct the safe and timely completion of daily assembly, testing, and delivery activities by leading a production team. Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Operations Supervisor/Manager provides leadership and manages overall direction for the Field Service Technician team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. We are looking for a leader with strong problem solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus.
As a Field Operations Supervisor/Manager you will be responsible for directing, coaching, and developing technicians to create a high performing team that delivers the best customer service possible. Supporting new employees through training and future development
Demonstrating and coaching behaviors that ensure quality customer service
Training existing Installers/Technicians on changing processes, procedures and technologies.
Conducting on-site inspections to evaluate and coach team members regarding quality service and adherence to safety standards
Monitoring and coaching to improve team and individual performance
Managing fleet-related processes including vehicle maintenance and upkeep
Addressing escalated customer and/or employee issues
Skills - Experience and Requirements
As a Field Operations Supervisor/Manager you must be able to lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals. We are looking for a supervisor/manager with excellent communication skills, energetic leadership style, strong problem solving abilities, and effective conflict resolution skills.
High School diploma, college degree preferred but not required
A strong competency in leading, developing, mentoring, and coaching
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to obtain an elevated understanding of processes, procedures and responsibilities performed by direct reports
Ability to write reports and correspondence. Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, working in small spaces and/or various heights, work in all climates and safely operate a motor vehicle
