Develop and file patent(s) in areas that are impactful to the company
Develop and file idea(s) for improving existing products
Develop and file data mining idea(s) that can be used to generate abstracts or articles.
Sub-analysis of current or completed studies

- Provide periodic updates to FCE management on council activities
Meet regularly with relevant in-house teams to proactively look for ways that FCE group can contribute to the development process
Monitor field issues to look for potential areas for improvement
Work with FCE management team to identify potential new members for the FCE Council
Maximize input from FCEs on the council to look for ways all council FCEs to provide significant input
Coordinates field support for all Clinical Research in the territory and mentoring FCSs and FCEs on conducting Clinical Research
This should include identification of quality centers, training of facility staff on the requirements of the study and operation of the device, insure FCE attendance for all procedures, continually monitor all aspects of study progress (Enrollment level, protocol and regulatory compliance, and data compliance), supporting the administrative needs of the center, continuous technical support
Assist investigators to publish and/or present the results of these studies at major medical meetings
Provides 24-hour technical support and troubleshooting to customers and Abbott IESD and CATD field personnel
Effectively manages assigned projects such as Mentoring, Product Planning Groups, various Performance Improvement Initiatives, educational materials, etc.
Seeks and promotes original research projects which may be impactful to Abbott
Insures the startup of these studies and strong enrollment in the centers
Functions as an expert resource for cross-covering difficult cases, handling esoteric technical service calls, critical software testing, advisory boards, and high profile presentations
Function as a "pipeline" between Abbott and the Medical Community, constantly communicating important information to customers, within the FCE group and to other departments (product planning, engineering, marketing and education)
- This includes providing Product feedback, comments and suggestions and Competitive information to the Product Planning and Marketing groups
Supports the Field Clinical Engineering, Education and Sales Organizations as a speaker/trainer, developer of training materials and/or Technical Memos on new technologies and advanced algorithms (including competitive products)
Collaborates with Sales Management and Sales Reps to develop and execute strategic plans to develop business in the territory
Assist sales partners by providing technical sales presentations in key accounts
Develop several key accounts where the FCE presence can produce maximum benefits, both to the company and to the FCE's professional development
- These key accounts should be resource centers to Abbott for IDE clinical trials, employee training and Advisory Boards
Mentor FCEs on key account development
Provides general corporate support as required to different departments including, but not limited to Product Planning, Marketing, Patent submissions, product literature review, assistance to legal department and strategic planning input

Typically a minimum of six plus years of progressively more responsible relevant clinical experience, with in-depth knowledge of cardiology, electro-physiology, and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), pacemakers, or cardiac electro-physiology procedures
Experience in electrophysiology and experience with Electrophysiology procedures, Ablation procedures and advanced mapping techniques
An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration such as Biological Sciences
Professional Health Science certification or designation
Successful completion of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE), Associated Professionals examinations in Electrophysiology and Pacing and Defibrillation. International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE)
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred

Senior Network Field Engineer
This position provides client support and in-depth technical assistance pertaining to hardware configuration, connectivity and Pseries support. Provide required tasks to successfully install network operating system software and Episys core application within the client's network environment.
The Network Field Engineer, Senior leads and installs network operating system software and Episys core application software on new or existing server class hardware, install peripherals and communication equipment required for implementations including tape drives, routers, terminal servers and switches. Create print queues and configurations files on core servers. The Network Field Engineer, Senior performs client migrations, transfer data from the current system environment to the new one. Analyzes networks using tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup, and arp to determine potential issues and make suggestions for recommended changes. The Network Engineer III provides technical support to existing clients.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Network Administration or Field Engineer role.

* 2 year electrical associates degree required
* Ability to troubleshoot various electrical and mechanical problems for industrial applications.
* 3+ years of PLC modifying and troubleshooting experience required
* Networking experience
* Field device experience such as analog and digital field instrumentation, motor control, mechanical equipment associated with process control systems, etc.
* Ability to travel approx. up to 20% throughout the United States
* Strong communications skills, written and verbal are a must!
Field Service Engineer
- Execute preventive maintenance. Document the records and take necessary actions to calibrate tool’s performance.
- Troubleshoot HW/SW issues, find root cause, and take preventive actions.
- Develop the best-known-method(BKM) for installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Join RD projects to improve system performance. Review, forward, and discuss customer requests with RD for next generation tool development.
- Provide limited on-call service.
- Escalate urgent or difficult issues to 2nd/3rd lines team with an accurate problem statement. Follow it up until problem fixed.
- Assist marketing/sales team to promote EBI systems.
- Master degree in engineering or science. Material Science, Mechanical Engineer, and Electrical Engineer are preferred.
- Must to be hands-on and self-motivated.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment. A good team player.
- 3+ year semiconductor process experience or tool maintenance experience will be a plus.
