Position Overview
The Antigen Map is a collaborative project between Adaptive Biotechnologies and Microsoft which will use immune sequencing coupled with machine learning to decode the relationship between a T cell receptor sequence and its antigen specificity. As a member of the Antigen Map Production Lab, you will be directly responsible for generating the samples required to generate this TCR-Antigen Map.
Job Responsibilities
Intake of biological samples
Execute primary human T cell isolation, expansion and stimulation
Assist with cell sorting operations
Work with peers to coordinate daily activities

Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a biological science
At least three years of experience with immunological techniques and primary cell isolation/culture
Hands on experience with multi-parametric flow cytometry, sorting experience preferred
Prior experience working to Standard Operating Procedures and documenting batch records desirable
Prior experience at a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical company preferred; previous role in a high-throughput, production or CLIA lab beneficial
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet defined deadlines

Position Overview

In this role, you will support launch of cell sorting capabilities within the Antigen Map Lab and then oversee cell sorting operations at high through-put.
Job Responsibilities
Author and maintain procedures for operation and maintenance of cell sorters
Execute and track system start-up, daily system QC and periodic system QC
Maintain reagent and consumable stock levels for cell sorting operations
Train Antigen Map Lab Associates to execute routine cell sorting with minimal supervision
Oversee and troubleshoot Antigen Map Lab cell sorting operations
Schedule and oversee system service events equipment field service personnel and coordinate equipment downtime with end users
Required Experience
B.S. in science or technology
8+ years hands-on experience executing multiparametric cell sorting; direct experience with BD sorters is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot sorting experiment and equipment issues and escalate to/interface with manufacturer's field service personnel as needed
Prior success in training new users to independently execute routine cell sorting under minimal supervision
Prior role in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical industry or core flow cytometry lab preferred
Familiarity with universal precautions and handling of human-derived materials in BSL-2 lab required

The Public Editor is the public's direct connection to PBS when questions arise regarding broadcast and digital programming that appears on PBS. The Public Editor will examine matters of editorial integrity, journalism, and production practice. (S)he will offer an objective perspective when responding to complaints or questions. The position is independent from PBS, and reports directly to the organization's President & CEO.
Public media has a complex system of production responsibilities that is dependent on many sources: independent producers, member stations, and PBS itself. The Public Editor will ensure that the ultimate consumer — the broadcast or digital viewer — is well-served by the content and presentation of PBS programming with respect to issues of disclosure, fairness, and accuracy. (S)he will review the public's inquiries and complaints about broadcast and online content, determine an appropriate response, and serve as an impartial arbiter.
Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:
Serve as independent observer and representative of viewers, playing no internal role at PBS, through assessing and publicly reporting on PBS' adherence to journalistic ethics and standards.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication or comparable television work experience preferred
- 4+ years of Assignment desk experience in a television newsroom

Overtime may be required to meet deadlines
Varying schedule due to, breaking news and/or daily news coverage requirements
Provide 24x7, 365 days per year, on-call support. May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other disasters. This includes, but is not limited to equipment and power failures, loss of contracted services, storms or severe weather, and schedule conflicts
