Field Meter Servicer
Under general supervision, perform work pertaining to disconnecting, reconnecting, removing and installing single-phase and three-phase kilowatt-hour and demand meters not to exceed 260 volts and associated Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) equipment; read meters; investigate irregular readings, non-responding AMI components, energy diversion, tamper alerts, and inactive usage; contact customers, and perform single-phase meter test; to assist with meter inventory - inspect, maintain, service, pack and transport measurement equipment and other equipment as assigned, and perform associated duties. Must also provide assistance to first responders and Meter Electricians as required. Employee may perform miscellaneous, related and incidental work in addition to regular duties including overtime and call-out rotations as requested.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:
- Disconnect and reconnect electrical service to customer, as directed, by removal or installation of self-contained single and three-phase kilowatt-hour meters or combination demand meters not to exceed 260 volts, for service orders, disconnects non-payment, inactive usage, or as otherwise directed.
- Remove, install, or change self-contained single and three-phase kilowatt-hour or demand meters when the meter is broken, stopped, or operating improperly. Bypass meters and/or associated equipment, when necessary.
- Respond to service calls (including call-out rotations) on installations not to exceed 260 volts, single or three-phase and associated AMI equipment as assigned.
- Report irregularities and abnormal conditions and conduct the investigation of energy diversion and tamper alerts.
- Receive, inspect, test, adjust, clean, repair and program single-phase meters, take inventory of meter stock and resolve discrepancies as assigned.
- Develop a working knowledge of single-phase self-contained metering and metering practices. Read billing and non-billing meters, as may be assigned.
- Operate communication equipment, including entering data via the appropriate work management system .
- Assist in storm restoration activities as requested.
- Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned.
Experience on the following:
- Responsible for the verification and validation of latest test devices and software applications.
- Includes executing field test in a mobile or stationary LTE and CDMA and/or GSM environments.
- Working experience on Wireless protocol standards like LTE, LTE-Advanced, VoLTE, IMS
- Creates, extends, and executes automated test plans to verify Wireless Mobile operation.
- Use of logging tools and analyzing issue from logs, call failure and call drop analysis.
- Prepare test reports on readiness of software after analysis of test results (Pass/Failures).
- Report defects found during testing on the test management system and track defect status periodically.
- Analyze carrier requirement documents/3GPP specifications, develop test cases and create drive routes.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, developers in US and located around the globe.
- MM, Connectivity, Android FW services testing experience
- Well equipped with Bugzilla, QPST, QXDM, ADB shell and other Android usage tools

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under limited supervision, performs fabrication, installation, removal, programming, repair, calibration, testing and maintenance work on electric meters, transformers, capacitors, services and all types of energized secondary (600V or less) or de-energized energy measuring systems and devices. Performs laboratory testing (600V or less), calibration and maintenance of all meters and metering equipment.
Installation, exchanges, wiring and testing of transformer rated meters and instrument transformers in the field is excluded. Performs meter specialty services on a contract basis. Directs others assisting him/her in such work.
Assists in the development and implementation of training. Responsible for effective operation of assigned personnel, and safety of him/herself, assigned personnel, and the public. Required:
High school or vocational school education or equivalent
Experience demonstrating skill working on meters and all types of electric energy measuring devices and systems along with material handling
Experience demonstrating skill using hand, pneumatic and/or hydraulic tools to perform manual work functions
Experience demonstrating skill operating non-Commercial Driver's License vehicles and material handling equipment
Ability and willingness to work from a ladder, scaffolding or other elevated equipment

Works as a team member with the ultimate goal of becoming proficient in the field of metering. Troubleshoots issues on electric meters. Inspects and verifies meter wiring and conditions of all equipment involved. Removes and replaces existing electric meters. Takes and records voltages.
Attends daily "Tailgate Meetings" with all involved personnel to maintain safety and guidance through the various conditions. All projects are field oriented and very little time is spent indoors.
Observes all conditions at the time of the service; often there can be hazards present that render conducting our efforts un-safe. Hazardous conditions require immediate contact with utility personnel and the lead technician on the project.
Deploys AMR/AMI equipment.
Typically works with single phase and low voltage systems.
Removes and replaces existing electric meters
Takes and records voltages
Takes required photos of various conditions at the location.
Notes all non-hazardous anomalies to assist utility personnel in determining their next step.
Inspects and verifies meter wiring and conditions of all equipment involved.
Verifies accuracy of electric meters and all connected equipment
Determines the correct billing multiplier is in use. i.e. Voltage and Current Transformers
Verifies ratio accuracy of current transformers under customer loads.
Conducts full ANSII C-12-meter accuracy tests and calibration on residential installations. i.e. Substations and Utility Generation sites.
Troubleshoots metering installations to determine losses when equipment failure or installation errors are discovered.
Follows and complies to all required safety standards and supports a safe work environment.
Completes all reports as needed and verify they are getting to the lead technician.
Attends daily "Tailgate Meetings" with all involved personnel to maintain safety and guidance through the various conditions.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager or other designate

Meter Reader I / II / III
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Under general supervision, to perform field work involved in reading water meters and recording water consumption for utility service customers.
The Meter Reader I exercises no supervision. Meter Reader II may exercise limited technical and functional supervision over lower level staff. Meter Reader III may exercise occasional technical and functional supervision over lower level staff.
Examples of Duties
Accurately read water meters on assigned routes, normally at curb and alley locations; accurately record readings on a hand held data device; make necessary calculations.
Check to determine conditions of water meters; report visible meter defects, leaks, and related problems in the form of a trouble code or service order.
Check meters that should be off; report any illegal use of water.
Meter Reader II/III:
Demonstrate knowledge of geography, street locations, and meter locations within the City.
Meter Reader III:
Perform as crew leader on an as needed basis. Duties may include route management, downloading meter reads into accounting/billing system, handling customer complaints, and resolving problems.
Prepare necessary reports and records, which include assigning route numbers to new accounts and enter work orders into the computer.

Electrical Mechanical Optical Tester / 2Nd Shift / Orlando, FL
Perform test functions on electrical, mechanical and optical hardware.
1.) Works from prints, schematics, engineering changes, wiring diagrams, procedures, sketches, and similar documentation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other functional subsystems
2.) Tests, evaluates, and verifies the performance of subsystems for conformance with technical and operational requirements; validates and performs systems tests under direction of higher graded employee
3.) Sets up and operates requisite checkout equipment, specially designed functional test panels and consoles, and other recording devices

8.) Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Ability to use scopes, multimeters, power generators in the testing and verification of electrical, electronic, and electro-optical assemblies.
Must be able to follow written procedures and policies.

Meter Reader - Temporary
Closes: June 30, 2019
Salary: $18.43 per hour
This is a temporary position to read gas and electric meters in the field and provide billing for customers by operating an electronic billing machine or using computer cards. To note and record irregularities and assist customers with questions or complaints.
This position is the highest of a multi-step progression and is expected to know all aspects of Meter Reader duties for the Company. Lower steps in this classification are expected to progress into all aspects of these duties.
Requires knowledge of basic math and good communication skills. Requires a valid driver's license and be willing to provide transportation for use on the job if required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
