Small but mighty family owned manufacturing company located in Fortville, Indiana is looking to add to their team.
Hale Industries has been in business since 1991 in the manufacturing and assembly world. We are a small but mighty company. Although we have an employee count under 30, we reach customers across the globe.
We are expecting a very busy season this year and are looking to add to our growing production staff.
The position of Manufacturing Production Associate will be responsible for working in production via various functions including but not limited to assembly, loading, unloading, packaging, shipping, receiving and machine operations.
To succeed in this role, you need to be a hands on type person with verifiable hand tool experience. You will have the following roles/responsibilities:
- Assembles by hand, using hand tools, portable power tools, and/or operates equipment as necessary to produce or process products
- Reads simple documents and instructions including diagrams and templates reassembly and executes SOPs
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means
- Transfers finished products and raw materials about plant and warehouse, using hand truck and/or forklift
- Delivers production items to designated work areas for processing
- Delivers processed units to storage or for the next stage of processing
- Stacks processed items in warehouse
- Packs products in containers
- Load materials into trailers for shipment
You must also foster a “team environment” and have the “do whatever needs to be done” attitude.

Hand Tool Calibration & Repair Technician
Calibrate, repair, and test precision measurement and test instruments such as Digital and Dial Indicators, Calipers, Inside and Outside Diameter Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Masters, Height Gauges, etc. Shall: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment.
Identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures. Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks. Maintain secondary and working calibration standards.

Experienced Saw Filer
We are looking for an experienced Saw Filer. The job repairs band, round, bench or circular saw blades to keep the plant's saws operating efficiently and safely.
This position will work Monday thru Thursday (4/ 10-hour days) supporting the Day shift. Pay will be based on experience. Stimson offers a competitive benefit package.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS DEMONSTRATED: Proficient saw filer. Demonstrated ability to: fit, bench, repair round saws and band saws and complete saw changes.
Strong understanding of machines and saws at Plants and production flow. JOB COMPLEXITY: Competent and proficient filer but primarily files 1-2 types of saws.
Maintains and repairs saws and related equipment at the plant (repair cracks and replace teeth). Able to bench both band and round saws. Complete required preventive maintenance. Assist in machine center lineups.
Can handle all foundational saw filing room duties and responsibilities; needs direction for those requiring extensive experience or expert knowledge. Knife grinding as applicable at the plant. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The Forms and Filing function within our US Life Business is paramount to both ensuring the successful rollout of new and enhanced products, as well as ensuring that current products remain in compliance with various state regulations. This position’s primary responsibility will be to submit individual life form filings to state insurance departments and the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) via the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF).
