Order Filler - 2Nd Shift

This position is responsible for picking and packaging customer orders in an accurate and timely manner. This position is for 2nd Shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Proficiently use a hand-held scanner to process orders and control stock going in and out of the plant.
At the beginning of each order, read order notes and instructions and select container type.
Go to specified pick location, find the part number identified and scan (or type in, if necessary) the location code of the first item listed.
Pick the needed product quantity, scan the product label and place the item(s) in/on the container/pallet. If there is no product label, proceed with making/printing a product bar code for one to be scanned in this process.
Continue finding locations/part numbers, picking needed quantities and scanning labels until each item on the order has been packed.
Complete packaging including wrapping pallets, enter number of shipping labels needed, generate customer specific labeling, if specified, affix labels and weigh items/containers.
In accordance with the instructions and weight of the shipment, scan the order into the specific holding area (i.e. Shipping, aisle, customer pick-up) and carry/transport the container(s)/pallet(s) to that area.
Safely operate and maintain in good working order all needed equipment (i.e. forklift, shrink wrap machine).
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
Assist in other areas of the plant as customer/business needs necessitate and/or count inventory for cycle counting or physical inventory.
Attend work regularly and predictably and uphold Company values in all work aspects.

Education and/or Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in heat during the summer, moderate noise from equipment and low level exposure to fumes from forklifts.
Must be able to lift heavy packages frequently up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs. Standing or walking most of the day. Must be able to talk, hear, bend, kneel, climbing, and push and pull product. Requires close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. 5.Ability to trouble shoot and discover problem areas quickly and make minor adjustments to equipment in order to maintain efficiency and quality.
6.Log equipment downtime and assist in line changeovers.
7.Observe and report any major equipment issues to supervisor.
8.Follow Century Foods International policies, safety rules, standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and ISO9001 procedures.

Cereal Filler (Grade 4) - A Shift (6:00 AM To 6:30 PM, Every Other Weekend Required)
This job description is to outline the role, responsibilities, general tasks and functions of the Cereal Filler on what they do in their daily operations.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Cereal Filler primary job functions are to retrieve cereal and other dry ingredients, accurately weigh, mix, and record dry ingredient and lot codes. Keep Multipond full and running during production. Keep mixing area and staging air lock clean and clear of debris, and aid the operator in the cleaning and clearing of waste. Aiding in the cleaning and sanitizing of the machine during CIP and down times, and helping maintain a sanitary, safe, and professional work environment.

This includes the manual sanitation of the filler, taking out the trash, and keeping the filler and the filler floor free from debris, including the drains when not producing.
Keeping the filler stocked throughout the shift and preparing next shift for their run. This includes all raw materials and cleaning materials, lidding, labels, cups, lids, gloves, dry wipes, eco wipes, cup stock, and RTU sanitizer.
Ensure proper chemical concentrations are achieved by completing titration checks and documenting appropriately.
At the end of any production run the cereal fillers are responsible for the "end of production" process and accounting for the amount of product loss during this process and the flush. General housekeeping is involved as in taking the remaining trash out, emptying the star bins, the label scrap bins and the scrap cutter trash. Roll up and put away any used and unused raw materials and wrap them with plastic so they don't get dirty and place them in the staging area for dry ware house to return to inventory. Request new supplies for the upcoming production order.
During the CIP process, the cereal filler is to help with the Cleaning and sanitation process in the filler and multipond room.
Other duties as assigned.

The Filler Operator is responsible for setting-up, operating and monitoring our Filling Machines. They ensure that the product conforms to quality standards.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Load foil lids into filler carriage, as well as make sure the right cups and foils are in the machine
Take samples for and perform in-process product testing; work with Quality to resolve non-conformance
Help train and oversee other operators in filling room
Set-up various filler machines for production runs (such as entering product recipe and tracking temperature); monitor and adjust filler settings as needed
Monitor filler speed, hopper level and cup count during production
Identify and resolve filler issues, reset alarms and notify maintenance of issues
Identify and eliminate non-conforming product
Verify all filler connections prior to productions start-up and CIP

About the role
Where You'll Work: The Savannah plant is a part of the liquid beverage division. We produce nutritional drinks, liquid flavorings, teas, and sauces for Kerry customers and brands. The Wrap Desk Operator is responsible for the operation, cleaning, and light maintenance of the equipment that finishes the product for commercial distribution.

Qualifications and skills
What You'll Need: There are a few requirements you'll need to be safe and successful in this job:
Ability to learn and/or operate the following equipment shear mixers, pumps, processing valves, process controls, & HTST processing
Ability to operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks and forklifts
Provide daily counts on bulk raw materials and work-in-process materials (WIPs)
Ability to calibrate and operate pH meters, refractometers, and titration apparatus
Ability to accurately complete and record all batch tests (Brix, pH, color, flavor, taste, temperature, acidity measure using a titrating apparatus)
Ability to correctly operate manual and automatic valves, which control all bulk materials, dry materials, and dispersion equipment
Support the SQF Food Safety and Quality System thru procedures compliance and training participation
Ability to pass Tetrapak certifications following onsite training and Tetrapak training
Knowledgeable in cold and hot blending process preferred
Knowledgeable in GMP and food safety programs
Must be capable of standing for the whole duration of the shift
Must we capable of bending and lifting weights of 50 lbs.
Must be able to work flexible hours and render overtime as required, including weekends

The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.

Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
