Operate a variety of mobile equipment including, but not limited to: forklift, skid steer, excavator, & wheel loader.
Notify appropriate personnel of irregularities in operating equipment or materials; maintain clean and orderly conditions in work area.
Work in a safe manner in compliance with all Aleris safety and environmental requirements, policies, and regulatory statutes.
Under supervision, coordinate and carry out various operations in the performance of any assignment.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be available to work overtime including weekends and holidays as necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.

Examines returned cylinders for defects.
Fills cylinders via pressure, temperature or by weight.

Pack single and multiple orders as required, filling standard packaging procedures as instructed. Apply shipping labels to packages, insuring the accuracy of the label.
Follow standard procedures in packaging orders to insure that orders are securely packaged in accordance with company and shipping company packaging requirements.
Place packaged orders on appropriate conveyor for eventual pick-up by shipping companies. Responsible for accuracy and neatness of packaging.

Set up slotting carts to perform slotting function. Match invoices to corresponding slots.
Remove product from totes and match to corresponding slots. Verifies correct items are included with each order.
Indicate status of product on invoice. Remove incomplete orders from slots and place in designated areas for additional handling. Pull carts of complete orders to the Multiple Pack area.
Maintain at least minimum productivity and quality standards while also following all safety procedures.

This position is responsible for operating the filler and capper to ensure that the product is filled properly and according to the customer's specifications. Employee has the responsibility to report food safety hazards or concerns to their immediate supervisor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
Run and operate the filler inside the clean room ensuring that the bottles are filled to the correct level, that the bottles rotate easily and do not get jammed and that they are free from dents, and or other punctures
Run and operate the capper system in order for bottles and caps fit properly to avoid contamination
Start, stop, and slow down filler according to the flow of bottles from the unscrambler and depending on how well the line is running
Must be able to perform a C.I.P and complete sterilization on the filler and clean room in sufficient time
Properly set up and make adjustments to the filler and the capper system
Comply with all safety and environmental regulations including GMP's and OSHA
Communicate effectively with the VTIS operator concerning the beginning of the batch, reducing the levels of product, and the finish product
Communicate with the bottle loaders and the shift supervisors regarding the filler run times and the amount of product left to run
Assist management in ensuring plant productivity, quality and safety standards are met
Ensure product quality and food safety by adhering to the quality systems set in place. (HAACP, SQF,SOPs, GMPs)
Continually check products to ensure that they are within specifications and meet quality expectations.
Perform vbasiic physical and chemical analysis tests (pH, brix, % solid, viscosity, density, HPLC, air velocity) in order to evaluate quality and safety of products.
Know and adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and hold others accountableto do the same.
Closely follow written and oral instructions from supervisors and management.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with the plant and company
Maintain a professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibility

The Ice Cream Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
Operates freezer and ingredients distribution feeder.
Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
