- Perform all Thermoforming Machine Changeovers with regard to Thermoformer, Cutting Stations and tooling. Minimize downtime with proper set-up. Consistently develop ways to improve the downtime associated with Changeovers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and organize all tooling prior to installation, and after removal to insure all pieces are in good working conditions.
Report tooling performance for that run should there be any deviation from standard to ensure continued good performance.
Ensure all tools are repaired prior to installation.
Safety and Housekeeping
Ensure that Safety switches and guards are always in place and working. Always follow approved lock-out procedures.
Keep all thermoforming areas used for changeovers neat and organized.
Report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately upon discovery.
Training and Development
Must be able and willing to train operators in basic safety and operating procedures.
Responsible for quality of parts coming off the line as it relates to the proper set-up of forming and trimming equipment.
Thermoforming Machine and Trim Presses
Coordinate with production manager, supervisor or maintenance manager any repairs, preventative maintenance, or improvements needed on equipment.
When production process permits assist maintenance department in whatever activity is needed.
Assist Production Manager in any tasks that may be required at the time.
Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.

Primary Objective of Position
Operates and performs set up on primary machines in machining environment. Must conform to productivity goals and parts specifications. Advancement requirements specified in Skill Level Program to enhance or add skill sets.
Operates/sets up one or more primary machines such as screw machines, CNC mills, and CNC lathes.

This person will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of grinding equipment to maximize both production and quality levels. Will take direction from the group lead and supervisor to assure product is manufactured on a timely basis.

Description for Machine Mechanic:
- Rig, move, install, repair, and retime a wide variety of machines, pumps, valves, compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, etc.
- Clean and lubricate machinery, perform basic diagnostic tests, checking performance and test damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary. Plan, layout, work from and study fairly complicated drawings and/or sketches.
- Prepare cement foundations, rig and position machines or equipment. Modify and set-up equipment for calibration testing.
- Analyze failures and remedy troubles quickly to prevent lost time. Detect problems and correct them. Maintain preventative maintenance logs.
- Perform a variety of construction and repair work, weld broken parts and fixtures. Disassemble equipment to repair or replace the necessary parts.
- Following standard safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others. Responsible for tools, machines, equipment, etc. used while performing work.

CNC Machine Set Up Operator
Must have CNC Experience
- Responsible for reading and interpreting blue prints including GD&T
- Read, write and edit programs in G-Code and other CAD/CAM software and identify areas of opportunity for program efficiency.
- Verify revision levels on method sheet, tooling sheet and router match, alerting Supervisor if discrepancies are found.
- Identify, document and dispose of scrap.
- Must setup and load material into a bar feeder/bar loader. Step through program and make offsets to complete a part to print specifications.

- Install appropriate tooling and touch off.
- Change inserts, drill boring bars, etc. when needed and return all usable tooling to the tool crib. Recycle all Carbide tooling.
